Im going to start doing some mebossing on my handmade cards. Does anyone have any hints or tips on how to get the best results?

I have had so much fun doing embossing on cards, stationary etc. I found a bunch of metal templates at my local craft store. What I did was make a kind of a light box using a glass baking pan and slipping a night light with a extension cord plugged into it under the pan. Then I would slip the metal template under the item that I wanted to emboss and taking a blunt tool, such as a rounded dowel etc., and do the embossing. The glass baking dish is such a great item to use for a cheap light box, and it makes it so much easier to do the work. Hope these suggestions helped.

Gosh, I wish I could help. I think two years ago I saw a demonstration on the Carol Duval show and that is the extent of my knowledge about embossing.
