Do your kids ever eat weird foods?

Last night, my daughter insisted
on eating dry Jiffy mix uncooked.
Jiffy mix is an instant cornbread/pancake
mix that you can buy in stores.
The dry Jiffy mix didn't contain raw egg, so it was
just basically flour, corn meal and what
ever else is in the mix.
I tried to convince her to let me make
corn bread pancakes, but she just wanted to
eat the dry mix, like cereal with a spoon.
I have no idea why she would want
to eat that.
I tried it out, just to see what it was
like and it kind of tastes like
cake batter. Didn't taste too bad.
Do your kids like to eat weird foods
on occasion?

lol! okay ive never heard of anybody even TRYING to eat dry Jiffy mix! wonder where she got that idea from? was it sweet at all?
my 13yr old will occasionally want to make her very special very own invention (lol) very weird, breakfast of champions. piece of toast, egg over-easy topped with strawberry jam. yuck! even though i know its all "breakfast" foods and often a piece of jam and toast are on the same plate as an egg...just the idea of having the jam ON the egg, along with the runny yolk..just does NOT sound tasty to me!

Really, I have no idea where she
got the idea. But, she's only four,
so you know kids that age.
They're bound to try to eat anything
for a snack.
It tasted kind of sweet like cake batter,
just dry.
It ended up being a big mess.
As for the jam on eggs, I've tried that!
I didn't do it on purpose.
But one time, some of my strawberry jam
got over onto the last part of my egg whites
and I ate it.
It was really good.
And, since I don't really like eggs too much,
it made them bearable!

That's awesome! I would need a slice of tomato or cucumber
on my mayo/butter sandwich. Or, just anything.
But kids will be kids!

My boys usually eat chicken wing pizza or buffalo chicken subs...that's pretty much their entire diet!
I haven't ever thought about even tasting the Jiffy mix dry! How weird is that!
Now put the liquid in it and I would probably eat that...I love raw cake mix and cookie dough.
Oh, speaking of that....my boys do go and buy the slice and bake cookies and just eat the dough without cooking it.

i think so, for my wife eats wierd food also. or maybe it is wierd for me. they both eat kimchee when they are eating fried fish. for me that is wierd. my son is only two and he eats that, i am 35 and does not eat something like that. har har har. my child eats a lot of sour fruits and for me that is wierd for i dont eat sour fruits.

There may have been something in the food
that your body craved.
