I have been trying to find old tv shows, movies, sitcoms for years gone by as currently there is nothing but junk on tv these days. Previous decades had the best shows and sitcoms. Comedy was at its best back then! Nothing but trash now! So I am always watching for the good 'ol shows in searches. I do searched on Amazon.com and buy there as I always have surveys that pay with Amazon.com gift cards so I get the shows/box sets for basically free!!! But my problem was in remembering shows! I had favorites but many I just don't remember or had heard about and would like to see I did a search for a certain show and while there, found these links for each decade. I was able to find the shows I wanted and watch for them to come out on DVD and box sets. WHile looking, I noticed so many shows that I didn't really watch but heard about or forgot about and "oh yeah!!!" comments! IT was a fun walk down memory lane. It was also interesting to notice that as each decade went by the following decade would have double the shows! Check them out for youself and find shows you liked and forgot about. I never did watch a TON of tv and it was amazing that I remembered so many and never even watch a single episode - guess it was the commercials or the previews or something. Test yourself and see how many you remember!! ( I know I looked at the one for the 50's shows, but don't have that link) And they show a picture of the cast and the characters/actors and a brief summary of what the show was about and then lists the seasons and episode names. i checked out those links, I have always wanted the box set of The Rifleman but I guess that could be from the 50's, i bought a boxed set a couple of years ago from Ebay but it was obviously a dubbed copy...i read somewhere there was going to be an official set coming out but i haven't seen it yet, I had a huge crush on little Mark Mccain in The Rifleman..it was a great show..

I agree TV shows of the past were funnier and more innocent. It's all jsut innuendo now. And people wonder why kids who are 12 want to have s. I think they should all be banned from the airwaves personally, although I do admit I like two and half men. It is pretty funny even if it is s.ually charged. Thanks for the sites.

YOu got that right! They see it on TV, parents let the watch it so they figure they can/should do it! What part of "parental control", don't they get?

I just bought the movie - Harper Valley PTA - staring Barbara Eden ( I dream of jeannie)from the 70's I believe. IT was so good and funny (and so was the song!) and they did a series out of it, but that isn't on DVD yet. It only lasted 1 season I think. And also 3's COmpany - only seson 6 and 7 - didn't care much for chrissy character! But they were BOGO free per box set so it was a good price. I always wait for the sales at Amazon.
