Do you prefer to save or spend your money?

Economy crisis is here, and yet, I can see many people buying things as if there's no tomorrow. For those who don't buy, they go for trips abroad. In other words, people are spending more and more even though the amount of jobless people is increasing. For me, I will only buy things that I need. For things that I want, I will make sure I can find another way to earn side income before buying those. I prefer to see my money grow, instead of putting it onto something which will depreciate in value. Maybe because I'm quite poor right now - got hit pretty badly by the stock market. What about you?

I like to spend money actually. But I have to be careful in spending if don't want to be broke. I still am studying. My money come from study loan and from my parents. I have to save money if I want to have money left for the future spending. If I spend all than I won't have money to buy other things.

Once you started to work full time, and when the people around you are relying on you, and when you started to have commitments and loans to pay, you will know NOT to get into the habit of spending money. :D

Due to the massive crisis that is happening in our country at present, i prefer to save than to spend money buying unwanted and unimportant things. I only buy what is really needed and those basic things that are a necessity. We should learn how to save money for the future and for us to have something when rainy days comes in our lives.

Yes, exactly. One will never know what might happen to the world market tomorrow, and one no longer can assume his/her job is safe during this difficult period. It's better to be smart and also control our money well. :)

I always save my money and try to spend only to treat myself. When I find something which I thing worth buying or that is rare or too good to ignore, I try buy that but I also consider if I have sufficient before buying.

That's a very good habit - not to spend more than you can afford. With the introduction of the evil credit card, many people have overlooked this issue. =_=

Hmmm.. I love to spend money. Not that I am a spent thrift but I will have the minimum amount as savings and spend the rest. Yeah,we should not spend like we have no tomorrows, but nobody knows as to what might happen tomorrow weather we might live even. So,feel we should not be stingy,I hate that. We should save money,it's hard earned but we should not save for tomorrow at the cost of tomorrow's happiness. This is just my perspective Cheers

Yea, we might never know what happens tomorrow. But I think it's still important to save up a little. At least you do save. I know people who don't save at all, not even 5% of their monthly pay.
