Can you believe in God without believing in Christ?

I'm just curious if there's anyone who believes in God, but doesn't believe in Christ. Do you think the 2 have to go hand in hand, or can you believe in a divine power without believing in Jesus Christ?

Christ is very vital to believing God (Father) because they are well guided by this premise: Luke 10:16 "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me." Therefore, when one believes Christ, that's the only time he can be called a believer of God. Jesus himself has this declaration that can be read from John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

As a born again Christian, I believe in a merciful God, who sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to be crucified, and die for me on Calvary, so that my sins are washed away and because I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I have repented of my sins and I walk in obedience, and serve God in Spirit and in truth, in the Name of Jesus, I have eternal salvation, am heaven bound, and my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, is seated at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty, making intercession on my behalf. If all of this grace and mercy is made available to me, how then could I possibly not believe in My God and My Jesus. My God has said that nothing can seperate me from the love of God, and that He has loved me with an everlasting love. Thank You Lord!!!

We believe in God, The True One God. He is not three in one or one in three. He is self sufficient. We believe in Jesus Christ as well, but Jesus was a Prophet of God, like Moses, Mohammad, David, Abraham, Noah, Adam etc. (peace be up on them) and we do not consider any distinction between them. Cheers!

Anyone can believe whatever they want to believe. But to have a relationship with God, the Father, you have to go through Christ, the Son. John 14:16 says "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me." I think that says it all.

There are many people who believe in God but don't believe in Christ. An example would be Judaism, they rejected that Christ is the messiah. They are still waiting for the promised Messiah. Another example are the Muslims, they believe in God, but Jesus Christ to them is just one of the Prophets. Others believe in God but are not aware of Jesus Christ, the very reason why Christian missions exist to spread the good news.

God is God, He doesn't need any help. He is the creator.

There are a lot of people in this world who believe in God but who are not Christians. It's a big wide world out there and there are lots of different beliefs. Muslims devote their lives to the service of Allah. Hindus worship many different avatars of God. There are many many religions out there and most but not all embrace the idea of some kind of a God or gods.

I don't think we can have a relationship with God without Christ. God loves us but He hates sin. We can't approach Him without Christ intervening for us. Christianity is a relationship with God through Christ. How can we believe God which we haven't seen if we don't believe the one He sent for here on earth. Since the time Christ came, I believe God only hears the prayer of those who believe in Him. Thus, the phrase "in Jesus' name" in our prayers is also included.

I think it's possible to believe in one and not the other. Some religions don't believe in Jesus, that's why they don't celebrate Easter and Christmas. I know someone that believes in Jesus and not God. Some religions believe they are one in the same. Religion is just too confusing to figure it all out, who knows who is right in all of it.

lots of people say they believe in God, but that don't believe in a Christ. (Christ is a title not a name) Bible says (basically) To deny the Father is to deny the Son. So I would say by believing in the Father you are also believing in the Son. So anyone who believes in God also believes in the Christ.
