Here in the Philippines, people are fond of making nicknames (palayaw) for their friends, family members and relatives. My full name is James Nylrod Tejada and so I was given the nickname jimmy, nyl-nyl or simply james. It's a good thing my second name is quite uniquely spelled so my nicknames were limited to only 3 hehehe. How about you guys? How many nicknames do you have?

I also have a lot of nicknames. My friends call me in different names like mare, mer, merme, mermaid, b, bitz, bru, bruha and many more. I think me and my friends are just fond of making new names and calling 1 another in different names that is why i have a bunch of nicknames. I think naming someone in a good way is really fun. haha..

I only have one official nickname. That is Dondon. That's what the people in our place call me. But most of my friends and officemates call me Don or Nas. It's okay with me.

Grazie (sometimes Crazie ), Marie (which I hate because I have a classmate in elementary named Marie and I hate her soooooooooo much), Puti (based on my skin color) Nikki ( my own choice because I find it cute although it has nothing to do with my real name) Gracia (well te most common "pang-asar" to remind you of how "bantot" your name is) Seh ( a pet name my mother calls me ), Bunso ( typically because I'm the youngest) Shobeh ( A chinese way of calling the youngest girl in the family) Gara ( for those who really like to make me angry.) Margot ( for the boys I used to know. hehehe.to make it sound alluring ) well...it doesn't matter anyway. A rose by any other name is still as sweet. :-)

i guess, i have 5 nicknames, it depends on the place I go... hometown, my place now, my work-group, my childhood friends, school... funny but true, we tend to change our nicknames according to our groups/environment...

let's see. to most of my friends i'm kaye. i used to be called KM (my initials) when i was younger, but the M was dropped and the K was lengthened for arte . i am also kareng to some, and mommy to my husband (although i don't think the last counts as a nickname, more like a term of endearment). so that's... *counting* three nicknames in the course of my lifetime

I have a number of nicknames at home they call me kenny, ken, khalil and karen. When I started studying in college, my friends call me kara, karamelle or kamel. So definitely, I have 6 nicknames. Oh, I forgot my cousin's friend would call me kendra and my aunt would also call me karenina.
