discovering new places around you

i have always shared that i love to travel....but more than anything, i would also like to discover more of the places around me. i mean, how shameful it is if i go places and people ask me about my place and i wouldn't be able to answer right. so part of my goal is to be able to discover different things about where i live.
just recently, i've discovered that there is a national park near where i am living now and they are offering free guided hikes every sunday. look at that, i've been here in my place for almost three years and this is the first time that i've known of it. so i grabbed this opportunity at once and sign up for the guided hike on sunday. it is the fall season so hopefully we'll see a lot of trees's leaves changing colors. will share more about the hike after. will share some pics too. :

It is wonderful that you have discovered the national park near you Bubbly Apple. I love it when I find new places that I haven't yet been to near where I live. I like small villages with old cottages. I simply adore it when I see a thatched cottage. I hope to pop down to Devon and Cornwall to see some picturesque gardens. I would like to ride on a coastal tram line. Happy exploring all the new places.

Yes, happy exploring to both of us and to all the travelers here in mylot. I don't like to stop discovering new places to visit. I just hope that I have the time and the money to visit all the places I would like to visit. Discovering places near where I live is a sure way of taking that thirst to travel out for a few days or so but once you're able to see some marvelous places, you'd want to see more. So I am on that time right now, saving enough to cover the expenses of seeing places far from where I live. Although, since this post, I've been to several parks and hiking trails that are near my place.
