Do you find yourself saying what you really think? Do you prefer to make sure that you dont rock the boat? Do you feel comfortable replying to any discussion ?

For the most part, I will reply to discussions with what I truly feel. However, I limit myself based on my mood for the day. There are some people I know well enough on here who will "get" and perhaps even "appreciate" my sense of sarcasm and attitude. For those that I'm unsure of, I may respond more carefully, just in case my tone is read incorrectly.

That is very well explained. You are so right. Its not like talking in person. You cant always just assume that someone knows your tone. Just like some of the people here may know you better then others. Just like some people here know when I havent had enough coffee. They are probably thinking , shes posting slow now but wait till the coffee wakes her brain up and you will see her get busy!lol

Lol! Maybe there should be 2 mylot sections... one for the pre-coffee drinkers that hosts less offensive material with lots of emoticons, the other for the post-coffee drinkers that has lots of insinuations and verbal fireworks.

I post what I feel and the way I feel at that moment. I am a very outspoken person and I say what I think. As for rocking the boat. I try to stay away from a discussion that I know will draw negative remarks or debates. I have a choice and I use it I respond to only those discussions that I feel comfortable discussing.

I try to maintain my honesty my friend, and I do tend to steer clear of controversial discussions because I want a quiet life as it were and I don't want to leave myself wide open, some things are sancrosanct and it's far easier all round if you keep some things close to your heart. I like a nice smooth boat ride and certainly do not want to rock the boat so I sail down a peaceful stream. Some times I want to let rip but I think what is the purpose? I have sailed close to the rocks a few times but that's not my style and I have quickly turned back onto the calm river again!

I can certainly understand about the calm river.I enjoy a wide variety of disscusions , and i dont mind a difference of opinion. I just like mature discussions with out the personal insults or arguing. I just look at it as a learning experience. Its so interesting and exciting here because there are so many different views. There are so many interesting posters too!

I know that some people may not like our honesty. My distrust would only come with questions and if you dont have reasonable answers for the questions,,,, such as our Obama discussions....then how can you show us that we are wrong!I never trust anyone who hides so much information.Appreciate your response, happy my lotting!

I try to be as truthful and as honest as I can on here. I don't like to rock the boat on here or anywhere else. I do not reply to all discussions, if I don't have anything to say or if it is something I have no knowledge about I leave it to those who do.

Yes, I would rather contribute to the ones I do know about also. I may read them all in an effort to learn more. It dosent mean that I have to post. I do like reading them because it is learning experience. Appreciate the response!

I like to be able to be honest. I do not like to argue. I am a learner and I look at my lot as a wealth of knowledge. It is fun but also a great chance to add to the database of your mind....appreciate the response!

I am a fan of semi rocking the boat, especially if I am passionate about something. I do not want to offend anybody, and I try to comment in a nice manner. But I will tell people what my thoughts are on a particular subject, indeed.

I usually write what I feel, only I write in such a way so as not to hurt the feelings of the writer. Discussions are ment to be answered, or there would be no meaning to discussions. Rocking the boat is often seen amongst people who do not mince words and are blunt. I try to be polite and yet air my views.

I post whatever I feel, I have no restrictions even if others think it's a bit weird, lol. I enjoy thinking outside the box and having no limitation, it makes me feel more comfortable with myself and my friends.

Sometimes it drops your star rating if you do that. Simply because people will rate you down when they dont agree wiith you or dislike your opinon on something.

Yea that is true, but I believe people are going to do that no matter what because I lost a point on my star within my first day and I said nothing bad. I may be a little bit more conserved with people I don't know, but my friends are more likely not to care about me being me. :D

I pots what I feel if the discussion calls for it. I will not post to a discussion where I think I don't want to "rock the boat" because I didn't join myLot to argue or force a point of view. I think that's such a waste of time.

I try, but sometimes I have to keep things kind of quiet because there might be a really long story that goes with it and it's better to keep things simple. Actually I find sometimes you just have to joke around instead.

I reply to discussions that I am intersted in or that I feel I can offer some insight on. I will definitely state a difference of opinion but I don't come here looking for an argument; and I do tend to shy away from more controversial topics. Also, I'm not here to make money so I don't answer ever topic I cross looking to up my little collection of pennies, I just skip to the ones that I think I can give a valuable response too.

I am a new entrant. But so far as I have participated in a discussion, I expressed my opinion frankly.I am yet to find an uncomfortable question. Since this is only a discussion and not something to make a decsion on, I am sure one should be frank. I dont know how I can rock the boat by expressing my opinion on something.Discussion can go on by expressing different opinions bydifferent people.

I always express myself in a truthful manner here on myLot whether or not they rock the boat. I think that is what makes discussions more intersting. However, if I think there are going to be some heated arguments in a discussion, the I will avoid taking part in it. I like to discuss things in a civilised manner whether or not I agree or disagree with other opinions.

I ALWAYS post the truth. I can't help it. It is just in my nature and I cannot live with myself to be false. Yes, sometimes, people's feelings are hurt by the truth, but I don't have any malicious intentions. You cannot change the truth, no matter how hard you might like to try. Unlike some others here, I do not enjoy rocking the boat, nor try to. Good or bad, I feel honesty is always the best policy.

I hadn't really thought about this. I think I tend to shy away from discussions that merely say, "What do you think about such and such?" But if the discussion is titled, "All men wearing green and driving a red car are jerks" I might chime in if I've known men who wore green, drove a red car and weren't jerks. I'm probably too honest on forums, but that's who I am.

Hi there fellow mylot friend. I post my true feelings here as i have no bad ones to hide, but i must admit that i would probably think twice if i did have some controversial feelings but would probably try to talk them with my girl, not start posting them here on mylot.
