Best Response

For me to mark a best response on a discussion I have started is when I get an answer that I think respond well with my topic and is issue based rather off topic response. I will mark best response even if one person has respondent. One thing I noticed when I joined mylot is that new people just rush to mark any response their best response without really understanding the meaning of best response. That is the other reason why some mark it very early at the beggining of the discussion.

The only time I have marked a best response really early is when somebody answered me so thoroughly and thoughtfully that I just knew that I had to show my appreciation. :) I think this was after less than an hour after I posted my Discussion! I know that that is early, but like I said, the response had everything I needed and more! :) Most of the time I try to wait a week or so! :)

Sometimes I will do thatt when somone pops up and posts something so incredibly good. I will also do iy if a poster is the only one to respond. I will also so do it on ocassion because someone has posted a link or made a very special effort. I will also do it just to surprise someone....lol so there is a method to madness....

Hi there lovelyladydancing! I do not immediately give best responses. Sometimes, it takes me a couple of weeks before I grant the best response to those who reply to the discussions that I start. I give other people chance to respond to the discussions I have started. I do not know why others mark a best response so early in the discussion but I think that one of the reasons would be that they wouldn't have to worry much about having several pages of unresolved discussions. Or, maybe because their questions have already been answered well.
