So what's your favorite rare item? You could answer in affordable terms, or just what you'd want if there were prices all the same. I own a santa hat, but if affordable, OR all the prices were the same, I'd probably want the white partyhat, since it resembles a crown

I like my rune [g], I'm f2p, always have been, and I like it because, it took me forever to get it, and it has a lot of value to me because of the time and effort.

I consider rare items to be nothing more than the tradeable holiday items. However, I suppose there's more rare items in the game, such as some of the treasure trail items. Personally, I would never be able to bring myself to buy a rare. I prefer to spend my money on things that benefit my character, as opposed to an item that does nothing and is essentially nothing more than a status symbol, showing people you've either played for a long time or are rich. I'm going to go in a completely different direction to answer this question. My favorite rare item, rare being based on the fact that I've seen few of them in the game, is the nurse's hat you can get in the quest, A Tail of Two Cats. It's an item that you get for use in the quest, and, as far as I know, can't be retrieved once the quest is complete if you choose to drop it. I still have my hat, and I see it as one of my prized possessions.

I like the way you thought of this. I think the nurse's hat is neat, and it is very "rare" in a sense. Thanks for your input. Its quite unique and thoughtful. If I had to choose an item to have in the sense that its uncommon... it would probably be the un-tradable bunny ears. I had a quest cape and was proud of it because of the accomplishments it proves and the competence and patience that it conveyed... and thats pretty rare too.

I have to agree about the bunny ears. I've always wanted them, but due to not having started yet, it's an item I'll never be able to get. Same thing with the scythe. The quest cape is a great achievement. It's one I've not yet accomplished yet. I'm not much of a quester. I've come as close as being 2 quests away, but, of course they keep adding quests. I'm not sure how far away I am from it now, as I've been a nonmember for a little while now and have missed several quests. Totally off topic, every year, for the Easter event, I pray for bunny slippers. Of course then I'd notice my lack of bunny ears even more.

If you sold all the partyhats, then what would you do with all the money. Getting everything you want will eventually make you feel unhappy and souless, if you had all the partyhats, or all the money from the partyhats, what would you do in the game, nothing, you would have enough money for anything.

Most of the rares, and more expensive things, like trimmed armour, are just status symbols, especially trimmed armour, which is exactly like normal armour, but looks a little bit cooler, (or so some people might say), so I stick to normal, untrimmed, armour, which costs a lot less, and does the same. For rares, like partyhats and the like, if people have actually genuinely made enough money to buy on of those things, (even in many years of playing), they must be quite addicted to the game. There are many things which look cooler than a partyhat (I mean, come on, it is only a party hat). If you want rares or expensive items, they should at least be of some use.
