What if DOT COM or lets put it the right way .com ran out of domain names free? Would the world end? Seems like everything from your favorite sports team to favorite drink to favorite show has there name in front of .com so what will come about when all the names run out? Will there be a new .com or will it be the end of the internet we know of today? Ya I know the internet isnt ever going anywhere espically since that is how most of the world communicates, does there job, have fun. What will be the new .com

When the internet was in first stage, dot com domain is the famous because every one knows only dotcom. But now a days, there are so many domain groups are avialable. So no need to worry about the dotcom. Every one can find their country domains too. For india it was .in and .co.in. And there are about 500 domain names which we don't know most of them.

It won't end but more will come soon. Aside from dot com, dot org, dot tv, dot net, dot ne, dot jp, dot ph, dot co dot ph and many many many other dots, so surely it won't end nor will we will run out of dot com ideas.
If you are specifically talking only with the dot com, i guess, it's up to you to find an available word or business name to be able to get a new site name.
