Forgetful

Is there a remedy for being forgetful. Normally, I would forget to bring a pen or the piece of paper where I drew a map to a place that I wanted to go but today I forgot to bring my cellphone to work.
I only realized this when I got out of the car after reaching the office. It was already too late for me to go back home to take the phone so I just let it be. I called up my wife and she confirmed that the phone is on the table followed by a big laugh. So I asked her to answer all my call for the day.
So, is there anything that we can do to avoid this kind of incident? I know some people recommended that we have a check list to check the things that we need to bring or to do for the day. The problem with that is I would forget to read the check list and I will be back to square one.
Is there any medication or any specific food that we can take to enhance our memory? Is it genetic or just simply a sign of an old age?
How about you out there? I remembered responding to a discussion about forgetting to bring back umbrellas and today I have forgotten to bring my phone.
Cheers!

I was going to say write a not not to forget what you forgot to say :) I always forget where I leave my keys. This usually happens couple of days during the week. I try to write everything on my PDA. © ronaldinu 2008

That is also my problem, Just this morning , I forgot to bring my reading glasses and here I am struggling with how I can make many posts here at myLot. It's very hard because I can't read well without my glasses. Not only that... I also do forget my cellphone so many times in the past. Anything that I forgot to put back in my bag, I surely will forget. One reason I see why I've been very forgetful is because I've been forever rushing! I do so many things at a time and rush at the last minute and hence I forget so many important things. I will not say I have poor memory because I can memorize long Bible verses and in fact even whole chapters from the book of Psalms and therefore my memory is still very sharp despite my age. I think I just have to limit my tasks so I could concentrate more.
Now for those whose memories are really poor, I’d recommend “Memory plus capsule”. I know a friend’s daughter who‘s been taking this food supplement and this helped her in improving her grades in the school.
