Who out there will be getting or has received their flu shots??? I have. Also, if you do not want to go to your doctor where do you go? And for your children?

Actually, it's one thing that I also would like to have to protect my health. I need a flu shot soon and I am going to ask my doctor friend to give it to me instead of going to the hospital.

Hi CatEyes - I didn't get a flu shot this year but I did last year. I don't have any health insurance right now and I do not have a doctor because we are new to this area. I haven't gotten the flu yet so I guess I was lucky. My husband is pretty sick right now but he got tested for the flu and it was negative... guess it is just a reallyyy bad cold. He's had it for over a week and it doesn't seem to be getting much better. Poor thing. He is such a tropper though... has only missed one day of work. I hope he gets better soon. In answer to your other question, you can always go to a free clinic or your city's health department I guess to get a flu shot. A lot of pharmacies now offer flu shots too. I guess I really have no excuse for not getting one. Did you get one this year? Jill

The only time I get a flu shot is when I am in school with a very good insurance. My daughter gets all her shots from the public nurse. It is cheaper that way. I could also get my shots there but I am not really a fan and unless the school asks for some sort of a shot, I don't do them. I have gotten a flu shot once or twice before, though.
