I am amazed how many mylot beginners get discouraged. I have read one of a beginners post asking how much money did you manage to earn from this site. I do believe that its better to have fun first here and then think about earnings later. I do believe that Rome was not built in a day!

I like your application of that saying to the discussions you mention. Ever since I've been on mylot, over two years, people are constantly talking about the futility of this site, how they don't make that much. When I first started I didn't think I'd ever make the ten dollar mark. I've gone way past that, and I know it takes patience. Nothing worth having ever comes easy.

Trouble is a lot of new members come onto Mylot thinking it's a big money making site where they can make a fortune and are quickly disappointed when they find out that this is a community site where you can make wonderful friendships, connections and be able to network with others. Friendship is priceless and invaluable and to me worth more than the money you earn here.

I agree with you. It's not an easy quick buck site but you can make friends and exchange ideas.

Lol, I agree. Honestly it seems pretty dodgy as an 'earning' site, from the point of view of a newbie like me -- there isn't actually anything easily-accessible that says HOW you get paid. (Per post? Per GOOD post? Who knows?) Still, it seems there're a lot of nice people around here.. While I'm enough of a cynic to go huh at the people all proclaiming about beautiful friendships, reading the comments for this post has been timely and amusing. Thanks. :)

This is great advice for someone like me, who is new here. I signed up thinking exclusively about profits, but as I start to see what the site is about and the people who frequent the discussions, I see that far more valuable income can be gained here than simple change.

i agree - the income you get from mylot is just small change but when you take the time to really look at what is on offer here you will see that it is doing what any network of its kind is supposed to do which is - connecting people i personally came to mylot to make a little "seed" money but i have happily found it to be so much more it is a great place to get advice on ANY topic you are able to find new contacts in whatever interests circles you are in and since we are all here at mylot's "baby stage" it will only become a more valuable resource for all of it's members

I agree with you. Frankly, I just start to earn from the internet for a few months and one of the program I joined is surely myLot. The first thing I join this program is because it can make money, not a lot, but still an extra money for me. It's not even 24 hours since I joined mylot yet. Now I really enjoy taking part in discussions not because the money (I don't how much do I earned yet since it's been less than 24 hours I joined mylot), but because I get to learn new things and meet so many people and know how they thinks and checking if people are interested on what I am discussing.

Well, the thing is too many of them sometimes come in here expecting to make a couple of hundred in here a month maybe, and when they find they are only earning around .20 cents a day they get discouraged, and often complain, and many of them end up giving up and say this site was not worth it. But in reality, if they would learn from the others here, and ask questions and take time to learn what it takes to be successful here, many things in here would change for them as well. We all need to remember we were Newbies once, and if you never learn to ask questions and find out in here what works you will often get discouraged as well. For me, and many others you have to learn that this site is about Friendships, learning New things, and just having Fun over the money. But until people learn that their time here could be limited as well.

I could not agree with you more! I am only $1.02 away from my second payout - and I know I can reach it! Plus I get to have interesting conversations with all of the other mylotters!

I often say that "Rome was not built in a day " to my older son because he is fascinated by history. Many people join My Lot to make extra money but lots of effort must be put in to earn lots of money. Writing ten posts of great quality a day might seem challenging for a newbie. I agree that it is better to get enjoyment from My Lot rather than worry about making money. In my early days it took me two months to reach payout with the minimum ten dollars. However I made friends from all around the world and participated in many excellent discussions. I still do get lots of enjoyment from My Lot and my friends on My Lot. I have learned the most important are my friends on My Lot, then the fascinating discussions and for me the earnings are just a bonus.

Well i think because they come here for money that is why they can continue doing it but if you came here for other reason like learning something for the discussion and making friend all over the world it is the best site for you. The earning here is just a bonus for you are patronizing this site. Honestly this is the site that i visit that pays other site dont even give any single cent you post but still like to visit for entertainment not for the earnings.

Hello folks! You are absolutely right.. As long as you enjoy one thing that you are doing, you wont noticed that u've just earn so much at the end of the day. But i guess if your focus is always on what or how much you can earn, maybe you should find a better place where you can look after your earnings as well as a full time job. For me MY LOT is not really for those who wants to earn big big bucks.. Its an enjoyment for me and while extra income is just my extra interest. Enjoy posting guys! Thanks..

Yes, true. Most people do come in here thinking about money, and once they find out they earn a few cents per day, they most likely leave. Perhaps they could start thinking about the possibilities in the long term, and they might just stay longer.

It boils down to how you want to undertake social activities, and maybe who you're talking about wanted money over chat from myLot,though your attitude is indeed true.myLot has both...we merely come searching for one or the other,no?

i had noticed that too ....coz i believe in sweating it out first since the result would be sweet and it feels good....a hard earn money last while easy money would just blown in the wind in a wink..do you agree with it?

haha.. U are wrong here.. What makes u join mylot in the 1st place?? ANd why do ple promote mylot?? To get referrals.. And reason?? To boost their earnings.. lol =D ANd thus, it's very naturally for newbies to be asking the question when they 1st joined mylot, as that's the thing that attracts them.. haha It's only after they joined mylot, only then some will realise the fun of it, and not the earnings ^_^ After all, we started out from a newbie, and money is the reason why we joined mylot.. lol

I think many people looking for a quick and easy way to earn are not prepared to make much effort, or to comit to a project and see it through. Those people are disappointed in the first few days, so they leave and look for another magic key to making money. Those of us that stick with it, and enjoy our participation, are the ones who earn the most from myLot. I never think of it as work, and its not a big part of my income, I'm just getting paid for what I would probably be doing in non-paying forums anyway. It find it quite funny, but sad, that so many people ask if there is a way to make a lot of money without working for it. Do they really expect someone to respond with an answer that they can expect instant riches just by signing up to a site

I was just saying this to myself the past couple of days! I started a discussion "How Much Do U Plan To Earn On MyLot?" I received all types of negative replies bout my plan won't happen and it'll be too time consuming and everything! I understand about the money thing, but I feel if u implement a plan, then execute that plan, things will carry along themselves! U can make money here, actually, that's my motivation! This is the only site that gives an unlimited opportunity to earn cash freely and daily, that's actually significant enough to make a difference, while doing what you sit around and do anyway for free! It's easy to get disappointed if you don't have a plan! I say, dive in, enjoy, post, invite, post, enjoy, invite, you get the picture! Taripre$
