i was with a friend last nite and we were discussing about the big brother show, and she says it's not educative. i think it's very educative: i'm a nigerian in africa, and theweekly tasks of the house mates in big brother africa has had a lot of impact on me. there a learnt the various culture of the various housemates from different part of africa. the un week was another way of creating awearness on the issues facing africa. i think the big brother show is very educative and entertaining too.

First, welcome to mylot. I think that the main purpose of big brother is entertainment- like the other reality shows that seek to attract more and more viewers. Of course, it could be educational as well. I mean, it's very difficult to say that all big brother shows are educational because they differ in the different countries. i used to watch it, but i think that it became banal since there are so many seasons of this show.

I was a big fan of the Australian Big Brother and I found it very educational, the housemates would all sit around and talk about things that people just don't normally talk about, i must be honest i learnt a couple of things and I also learnt that certain things are just normal that every day society shuns...I was devastated when the TV station said they would not be doing a series next year...i loved the show..
