Do you find yourself saying "we" a lot?

I was just responding to a discussion about debt, and was talking about my husband's debt, but noticed I was calling it "our" debt and saying "we" had paid it and "we" didn't owe much. How odd because it was completely his debt, and since I don't work it was completely his money that paid the debt. But I do say "we" a lot. Even if it's something like "We love Christmas" so basically I'm speaking for him. Do you say "we" or "our" a lot, and sometimes not even notice? Sometimes even if it's something that's only yours or his, do you still call it "ours"?

Yes I do, in fact sometimes when I notice that I have done it I will go back and change it. When I am on here I am one person not two! I guess it is just a habit because we are a couple and so we are like one unit no matter whose it is.

That is what I had to do in that one discussion. I typed it all out and took and a look and said "That was his debt, why am I calling it ours?" But yeah, we are just 1 unit, it's not like my husband would care that I was speaking for him, he's sort of used to it. He probably does the same thing.

I find myself doing this all the time. I have noticed that a lot of us women do it, but the men don't as much.

Since me and my fiance have gotten together I have started saying we or ours when talking about stuff such as it is our money,it is our X-box 360,our friends and stuff like that because it is only right,we are going to be married, and we will become one in the eyes of God and my fiance agrees that everything is ours and it should be that way,and even the preacher when we were talking to him about marrying us,said that when we get married that we will be one,and that everything will be ours and he seemed happy that we already call everything ours.

When it is a couple or a family, I think it's appropriate to say 'we'. After all, most women do pay the bills with their husband's paycheck which makes you part of the procedure. Also, we are supposed to be 'one' when we are married. Everything I have is his and what he has is mine; therefore, we say 'we' and 'ours' lots around here. Or, at least, I do.
