How long is your computer turned on today?

My computer never went off from yesterday. It was in sleep mode. So technically, I guess its been on for 13 or so hours. We only turn it off 3-4 times a week.

my computer is usually on so 5-6 hours a day. Sometimes I let my computer on when I go away from home, because of MSN, or downloading something. At nights it's off and I'm trying to keep it off when I'm learning. Ofcourse not when I need something from the internet.

The amount of time my computer is on during the day depends upon what I have to do that day. Mondays I get up at 4am and get to work on my outside job and it stays on until 6:30am then I get ready and go to work. After work at noon depending upon what I have to do that day I may turn in back on. Tuesday-Thursday depending upon what I have to do during the week and how I am feeling dictates on the amount of hours the computer is on. Friday's the computer is not no much because that is my errand days and I am usually gone all day. I just got on the computer this evening for the first time today. That tells you what my time is about.

My office computer usually is turned on for 8 to 10 hours while the one I have at home is open for more than 10 hours.

I never turn my computer off unless there is a bad storm. I was told many years ago that it is easier on the system to keep it running then to power it on and off all the time.

I never turn mine off! Though I really should at least at night to save on my power bill. My average computer usage is about the same as yours, although mine is broken up into various pieces as I get stuff done around the house. Sometimes though I get so sucked into this thing that nothing seems to get done lol.

My computer was on in the afternoon for two hours by my sister.Then i put on the computer in the afternoon for 1 hour and fifteen minutes.In the evening the computer was on 1 hour by my mother and right now i am using the computer.

My computer is always on. Unless I am going to be gone for hours, or if it is on the weekend and I am not going to be on the computer. Those are the only times I turn it off. Of course I turn the monitor off when I am not in the office, but don't always turn the computer off.

If I'm home, our computer stays on most of the day. I'll use it during the day off and on, then when my husband gets home from work he'll be on it till its time to go to bed, its on about 12 to 13 hrs.

I have mine on standby usually because I heard from a friend who is a computer expert that it doesn't hurt the computer when its on standby and it saves a lot of time. I am usually on my computer for about the same length of time that you are on yours.

My children turn the computer on at around six a.m. when they get up and i turn it off at around 3a.m. whern i go to bed so it is only off for about three hours a day.

My laptop is on when I am preparing for lessons. And it's on when i feel like watching online movies or things like that. I'm thinking of shorten the time i spend in front of my computer. It's not good for me lol.

Well,my computer is turn on as long as I am awake. I will shut it down when I am going to bed every night.

My computer is usually on overnight while i'm sleeping, because it is making money just by sitting there :) so i'm happy leaving it on ha

My computer is always on. The only time it is off is when the electric is turned out. I work alot of hours on the computer daily so it is always on.

For about 8 to 10 hours a day.. And the thing is, my electric bill never seems to be too high either..

Oh, far too long! I turned it on when I got up and four house later it's still on, even though I've had my mum here and I haven't been using it . I normally try to turn it off when I'm not doing anything on there, but sometimes I forget. However, it doesn't stay off for very long. I usually end up switching it on again a few hours later, so it's on more than it's off!

My computer is on a lot too. I read emails and take care of online business. When im done with online stuff i play sims2 so even when im not online my computer is still busy. I get tired of sitting sometimes so i get up and go do house work then back to computer.

Mine is on all of the time, except for when it becomes slow and I shut it down for a night. I run a program on it that earns me money, and the more I am online, the more I earn. It does not hurt the computer to do that, I have been told.

I limit myself using the computer up to three hours a day at its maximum. My sister also uses the same computer and she usually uses this for around three hours regularly. So that's roughly six hours of computer usage averagely a day. Of course the electric charge here in the city costs too much so we're also considering that factor; so as much as possible, we try to conserve electricity and maximize the use of computer.
