there are lots of ways people and races celebrates all saints day, in america and some europe countries observed this like putting some scary costumes and go for some Halloween party and their children go for door knocking for trick or treats, others countries dont bother to observed this events as belief and religious tezching is concern...as for me all saints day is a good way to remember loved ones who have passed away.. and though they dont know nothing about it because they were already dead, i think for me this is how i pay some kind of respect and think of their memories, well its a good time to have reunion for the family members actually...how about you how do you observed all saints day?

Well in Pinas I guess its a time for reunions and getting together with friends and family members. Even out loved ones that passed away are included since we do the reunions in the cemetery. We usually go their late afternoon and lit candles for our departed ones and rather have a picnic with those that are alive. We stay there till late hours or some even stays overnight. It is rather different fromwhere you are I think they do not celebrate all saints day at all they are much more on Halloween which happens on the 31st of October.

for me this day is quite special since this is somehow besides the resting ground of your own people who have rested for good..and somehow this kind of observing this day as all saints day is a good tradition in remembering lost love ones....thanks for this great response friend

It is a family tradition to visit our loved ones in the cemetery during November 1st. We bring flowers and candles there and stay for almost half day. It also becomes a time for our family to reunite, especially on my father's side. My Auntie and Mother bring food there for all of us to share. I remember when I was still a little kid, I used to play with candles and try to create a ball made of melted candles. Then I just leave it there at my Grandparents' moseleo when it is time to go home. I am looking forward to visit them again this coming All Saints' Day.

We visit all our deceased relatives, especially my grand mother, uncle and my mother. We stay the whole day in the cemetery and bring food to eat while lighting our candles. We also pray for their souls. It's also the time of being able to see those relatives that we hardly see in a year. It's like a reunion in the cemetery

yup i agree. its the time to remember our deceased love ones. though they arent with us we still need to pay respect to them. thats why on this day we provide time to visit them at their tombs, light up a candle and offer prayers to them.
