I am not a fan of bathroom weight scales. Lots of times they are inaccurate and I am reminded that it's not always the number on the scale that truly matters and decides how healthy you are. I will admit however I have on and do on occassion step on to it with one eye open lol.. In the past when I have been dieting I would probably weigh myself every few days. I do remember that as I noticed the number go down it really pushed me to stick with the diet because I was seeing results Other times when I would see little or no weight loss the opposite would happen and I would get discouraged and probably cheat on my diet.. Over the years I have stopped "dieting" and instead just choose to make more healthy food decisions as well as regular exercise. I have noticed as my mind got away from "dieting"so did my desire to step on the scale. What about you? Do you own a scale and how often do you check your weight?

I used to view the scales as my enemy! I would be happy until I got weighed and found out how much I had put on! I couldn't diet, found it incredibly difficult and I would get frustrated for not losing even when I had tried so damn hard all week long! Then I gave up dieting because the weighing part was making me unhappy so I started to exercise instead and I managed to burn off the calories and lose weight, but I always used my clothes as a great way of telling me if I had lost or not, obviously the looser the clothes got the more weight I was using, even now I hate weighing myself, strange isn't it how something like scales can be so scary and offputting!

they sure can... I also think how your clothes fit is a great way of telling if you've gained or lost weight.. Hehe I still have a pair of my jeans from college on the off chance someday they will fit again!! They used to be called my "goal" jeans...when I could put them on AND breath I have reached my goal weight... But now I realize I was pretty much under-weight back then and the goal is an unhealthy and unrealistic one..

I do not make a habit of dieting. I just watch what I eat. I step on the scale about three times a year. I recently did this and discovered I had lost 5 pounds. That was a nice surprise.

I weigh myself about once every 3 or 4 months I think. The only time when I think of it is when I get sick and tired of being overweight and start limiting food, exercising more, etc. I always lose a little weight then I lose will power and ignore the whole thing for awhile. Silly, isn't it?

I hide from all scales at all times. Unless, I know that I have not gone over. However, we are suppose to weigh because its keeps any extra pounds from sneaking onto us without our knowledge, which means that I have to buy another scale since I got mad and threw my old ones out. I know it was not working correctly, thats my story and I am sticking to it! hehehhehehehhehehhehehheheh
