hey guys, was just reflecting on my daily sleep, and i was thinking of what other people think so basicly i cant get to bed before 2am. i just cant fall asleep. so then i just wait and wait untill i feel so sleepy and crash. When i crash i wake up at like 1:30pm the next day aprox 1:30-4:30 depending what time i crash. is there anything that will make me wake up earlyer?? i sleep right threw alarm.

Yes. I know what will help you get up earlier. Going to bed earlier. Do you work hard or late? Maybe you have just gotten into a routine of this. Sometimes when I go to bed later, I do not get up for an hour or two more than I would usually get up. If you really want to get up earlier though, and still want to stay up late, buy a louder alarm clock. (Yes they do excist). After about a week you will get used to the time it is going to ring at, and you will automatically awaken at that time.

This sounds easy, and I know people who do become accustom to the time they wake up, but then there are those of us who don't work that way. For example, my brother-in-law works at a bakery and has to get up at 3am. He and his wife got up this early, even during our vacation. My husband gets up at 4:30 to get ready for work, he doesn't wake up at that time unless the alarm clock wakes him up. He sleeps in every weekend, all through vacation, and even when he forgets to set the alarm clock.

I know what you mean, when I was a kid I always had insomnia so I could never sleep at night so I was always tired when I was at school, and had trouble staying awake, during the Summer and on the weekends I would stay up all night and sleep all day because it was easier to sleep like that, and even now that I have met my fiance we prefer to be on a third shift schedule, where we stay up during the night and do sites like mylot to make money, because we feel we can be more creative at night, and sleep during the day,and I am not sure of anything that could wake you up earlier, but you could try taking a sleeping pill so that way you fall asleep earlier and then hopefully wake up earlier.

I kinda like the nights.. its crazzy tho.. i meen when im working the night shifts (well like to 11 30 pm is my night shift.. but yah at around like 8ish or when the sun goes down i feel like i start to work harder.. its crazzy maybe its just a mental thing i would love to have a job where i can sleep allday and then work online or what not at night.. i find my self so much more productive at night. When i was in school i had school at like 8am.. its was so hard to get up at that time.. i couldn't really fall asleep in class because where i find that i am not comfortable sleeping i can't sleep.. i think it was 2 times that i had slept in class both times were the exact samething in different years... it was english class and we had shakespear playing on tape or cd or what ever it was it was crazzy boring and yah.. (no offence to shakespear but coming form a teanagers prospective when you have to listen to sometihng that you have no interest to and is kinda slow paced i think i cant even remember haha.. but yah) so.. if you have any ideas on what kinda job i can have that is like nights.. and kinda fun.. i wanted to start something online but i still have trouble fining somethign that i can really make a solid income from.

I don't think your sleeping habits are bad, as long as you are being constructive. Which it sounds like you are not being. It is probably best that you work at forcing yourself into sleeping better at night and then being awake during the day. This will let you have a job and participate in life. If I had my way, I would go to bed at 4 in the morning and get up at Noon. But I don't, instead my son wakes me up at 7am. Sometimes I can't sleep well and work on the Internet (I write articles and websites for a living) until I am tired enough to go to sleep. But the trick is being constructive and productive in the hours that you are awake. Get a third shift job...that would probably work for you.

do you have a job? If so, what time does that start? I don't know your schedule for day activities, but I'd say to try and get a first shift job and go from there. I have 3 alarm clocks because I sometimes sleep through one or two of them. Thankfully my husband is also there to wake me up! Sorry, I don't have a quick fix, but try more alarm clocks! ha.

Yah i have a job, i work for starbucks :) btw very fun job. um at one point of time i had it so that im not available in the mornings... so that i would just work nights and that would go perfect with my sleep schedule. i don't have an alarm clock. but i do have an alarm on my phone... i will sleep threw 10 alarms and if i do wake up to one.. i'm tired so ill snooze it and go back to bed into a deeper sleep. but its weird. a cupple days now i woke up at 7am on my own with no alarm and went for a run. maybe a healthier lifestyle effects how much you need to sleep
