When were the gospels written?

The question might sound simple, but the answer isn't. I was trying to find an answer to this question, and as per the answers the Internet gives me, the gospels could have been written anywhere between 50 A.D (or should I say C.E?) to somewhere in the second or third centuries. I am asking this question mainly for links and sources. So, please respond only if you have made a study of this and know good sources and links. Of course, you can get funny if you want to. I have a brilliant sense of humor, and I won't be marking any negatives. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

But grandpa, how do you substantiate your point? I guess it's important because Christians do not take the Gospels to be some kind of fairy tale for adults. If they are fairy tales, ok, but one needs to support one's argument with some evidences. That's my take!
