Led Zeppelin would be the winner for that. Just listen to every album that they made, every one of them is beautifully and creatively crafted to suit any lind of listeners. The done it all from acoustic to hard rock, all written over in their songs. They are flawless. They influence every single musician and artist to date. They are legends.

I'm not trying to start anything, but I just never understood the appeal of Led Zeppelin and why so many people love their music. I guess my only experience with them was dancing to Stairway to Heaven at a middle school dance. That song was played and played to the point that if it comes on the radio today, I will change the station. I'm not trying to be a hater. I'd truly like to know why you like them so much.

I would choose Areosmith because they have been around for over thirty years with teh same band members and still utting out kick'n tunes. They may be old..but they put on one heck of a concert and the lead singer Steven Tyler can sing.

One of the greats, for sure!! Walk This Way was so ground breaking to mix rock and rap. And I don't care what anyone says, Steven Tyler is still HOT!

Led Zeppelin!
...and not just because they are the best, but more so because they are so much better than whoever is second best. =)
Their range and reach gives them that credit. Their scope of influence is far superior to any (even the Beatles). Their style is quite varied, yet remains Led Zeppelinish every song. Their live performances is second to none, and the energy the band produces is awesome! The Universe HAS voted, and Led Zeppelin IS their choice.

If I answer objectively, I would have to say The Beatles simply because no other band has influenced rock and roll like they did. I could also choose Led Zeppelin, objectively, and not really be wrong. But, for me, personally, the band that is the best in the universe would have to be KISS. No band has ever influenced and inspired me as much as KISS. While The Beatles and Led Zeppelin certainly left their mark permanently on the rock and roll world and influenced modern music in a way that will never be forgotten, their influence just kinda ends right there. KISS's influence went way beyond music. Maybe it was the personality of the band, or the elaborate stage shows, or the larger-than-life attitude emanating through the make-up and costumes...and it was most certainly the music...that gave life to the KISS movement, the KISS culture, the KISS ARMY. KISS's influence was such that being a KISS fan was, and still is, a way of life.

Definitely, The Beatles. Their songs stood the test of time. And, almost all bands that cropped up in the 70's onwards regard The Beatles as one of their influences. Not only that, The Beatles also inspired generations of musicians to aspire for a higher level of songwriting techniques (listen to pop songs before and after The Beatles and you'll see what I mean).
