I have a nice big collection of pictures. Most of them are of pets, flowers, nature, babies, and so on. And I keep changing the pictures almost everyday, sometimes twice a day. I simply love pictures and love a lot of variety too. So, do you have a lovely picture on your desktop right now? I have the picture of a beautiful flower (don't know the name) on my desktop at present. Yesterday, it was the picture of a kitten, and day before, it was the picture of a tree. What about you? Cheers and happy mylotting

And here I was thinking that I'm the only one who likes variety in my choice of desktop backgrounds!I won't say that I change mine every day, but I do change them a couple of times weekly. Right now I have Jane and the Dragon from the TV series which I downloaded from their site. I also happen to love pretty pictures and have a wide variety on my computer. I also like to use photos of the grandkids.

Somtimes I run across a great background on a site I am visiting. I will save the background to use as my desktop. Some awesome artwork out here in cyberland isn't there? Most my wallpapaers are photos I took of my life and surroundings though. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I like to change my desktop background. I like to do it for seasons and holidays. And yes I have cool pics of my son and my animals on there once in awhile too. Or favorite places. It is just nice to have something different on there once in awhile. I get bored easily, so I get tired of having the same one there all the time. I am not fond of the scrolling pictures for backgrounds- have no idea why but they annoy me, so i stopped doing that.

This is very rare. I like to use the "desk" analogy for my desktop space. I have no background (I run Ubuntu, and just use the default [in Windows, I just have a solid color]) as I do not think that having a desktop background has a point. I have a piece of software to view images, I do not need to view them on my desktop. I have some icons on the desktop (only files, etc. that I have to access enough for them to warrant the valuable space upon my desktop [they are moved after a while]). For icons I might change the desktop every few days or weeks due to new work coming up, or needing to store files for transfer in a semi-permanent place. It is not important for me to change the theme unless I believe that the theme I am using is causing me problems, or is causing my computer to run overly slowly. I find it odd that people have background images, and often I find that themes people use are not great as well. It is no problem for me. I simply use a very basic looking desktop as I have no need for anything other than that. Also i think many people are there who changes their wallpapers daily. Am not sure, but most of my friends changes their wallpapers occasionally.

I have tons of pictures on my desktop but most of are family. I change it every couple of months and put family pictures on it. My screen saver is a slide show of everything that I have. That is a lot of fun and my toddler will sit at the computer and just watch the pictures and point and laugh. It is a great way to get her to reconized family members that she doesn't see a lot too. She is in the "I hate strangers" stage.

I don't change mine every week. I change mine every couple of months. My desktop background is usually pictures of my son. I just changed mine recently. We had my mom's fiance's little boy over to spend the night so I took a picture of him and my son sitting on the couch together and they look so sweet. They both have big smiles on their faces. Before this picture I had another one of my son and my nephew riding one of those ride toys. It's a race car and it only seats one but they both were in it riding around so I had to take a picture of it cause it was too cute.

I don't change it alot. I have the same picture on my desktop as the one I use in my avatar. I only change it, when I have a new one of my boys that I really love. I take a lot of pictures of them, but sometimes there's one that stands out and then I use it as desktop picture. The photo you see in my avatar I also used for my weddings invitations. Normally it's the parents of the bride and groom that invite the wedding guest (at least on a formal invitation), I let my children invite every one. Have a nice day

I go with an all black background most of the time. I tend to have things open covering my entire screen even though I have two monitors. I almost never have the background available and if I do I probably wouldn't really want a picture there.

I'm a member of WebShots. I have been with them for quite a long while. I download new pics just every few days. Now I have a pretty nice collection. Now I have my WebShots set up so it changes pics every 15 minutes in a random order. I have enough pics, I can go a whole week & never see the same pic n my desktop twice!!! Some are animals, some baby animals, rainbows, waterfalls, sunrises, sunsets, nature!!!

Go to webshots.com & follow their instructions. There's a free version but you're limited as to which group of pics you can use. For $2.95/month you can choose any pic you want. I used the free version for about 10 years & just this year upgraded to the paid version. You can also make it your screensaver too!!!

I change my picture daily (or more) as well. It's fun, and the rest of the family has fun by wondering what I'm going to put there next. Right now, the theme is Halloween. Around holidays, or sporting events, I like to post related pictures. LOL...there is one picture that I will post for more than a day. When my teenagers room gets beyond messy, I've solved the problem of having to ask repeatedly for it to be cleaned. I simply post a photo of the offending room for everyone to see, until it's cleaned. Works like a charm...

I love the idea of posting a picture of a messy room in the house, I will remember that when my daughter gets to that stage - she is only 2 at the moment so will have to remember it for a little while yet before using.

It's not always easy coming up with new ideas to encourage teens to want to do what they're supposed to be doing. The messy room pictures (so far) have worked better than other ways that we've tried. I think next I'm going to take some pictures of her school books, to see if that encourages her to do her homework.

That is about how often I change my desktop wallpaper (about every three weeks) I enjoy changing for seasons or new family photos or just a pretty scene that tends to be a calming thing to see while waiting on my computer to boot up

When I first had my computer with Windows XP, I would often change my desktop background to manage the seasons, which included the bliss, the sea, or the fallen leaves. Since I had bought my new computer with Windows Vista, I had never changed my desktop background.
