I think almost everyone here must have been in a relationship atleast once... For a few lucky one's it must be still going strong but for a few it must have become past! Isn't it?? For a few it would hav been easy to get over the past but i'm sure for some it certainly ain't that easy! I have had friends for whom it took years to get over their past.... And it happened when they had found the right person in their life!! But is it so?? To get over our past do we need a good present?? iS it easy to forget the past?? I feel it ain't very easy!!! What do you guys have to say about it??? And are there any suggestions from the people who have overcome their past so that it can help someone??? I'm sure it can make a difference!!:)

It's always hard to get over the loss of a love. I think the best thing you can do is to fill your life with activites and people that you enjoy. Sometimes the best thing you can do is to disengage from them and give yourself time to heal.

The way I got over my past relationship I remembered all the pain he caused me and the fact he moved across the country. It did take me a while to fully get over him, then I started talking to some of my guy friends and as friends they treated me better then he did as a boyfriend. When I learned what I deserved as a woman I got over him real fast.

If a door is closed or you close one, then just have the mental state that you are moving forward. Go on with your life by taking your steps into the future. Doing positive things and not spending your time just looking back. If you arent careful , anyone can live in the past and in many cases, it is just a waste of time.

The length of time to get over someone in my opinion depends on how much you loved the person. If you had an intense relationship with him/her, it would really take time to get over that person, but if you didnt really love him/her, it would definitely take a shorter time. You dont need to have someone new in your life to get over someone. You just have to be in a place where you are happy even if you're alone. To get over someone you should stop thinking about that person and move on with your life. Be optimistic and look forward to better things that will happen in your life. There's life after a failed relationship after all.
