Cooking with Paula Deen

I had never heard of Paula Deen because I don't watch cooking on television. But last year my sister-in-law gave all her sister-in-laws a subscription to Paula Deen's magazine. She really has some great recipes and suggestions in her magazines.
I just received the newest one yesterday. It is the Christmas edition, Celebrate the Season, with fruit cakes, cookies and holiday wreaths. There are lots of fruitcake recipes,cookie recipes, and some great soup recipes that would be good to cook right now during this cold spell.
As usual, though,Paula has included some great holiday suggestions for decorating your home for the holidays. I would love to be able to buy and decorate my home like she suggests. I know her home is just beautiful around the holidays. She makes use of lots of greenery, candles, and reds (berries and ribbons) and the sight is just gorgeous.
This month she also has an article about Marie Osmond of the famous Osmond family. I have watched her and her brothers for years. I remember when they first let her and Donnie sing with the group. She is still just as beautiful as ever and still has a beautiful singing voice.
If you've never thought of subscribing to Paula Deen's magazine, this might be the year to try it. Also, I can tell you that it does make a great gift for someone on your list during the holidays.

I've watched some of her cooking shows and I do enjoy her. I watched one where she was making everything out of chocolate and let the audience come up and drink from her chocolate fountain... well that had me hooked on her. I have her son's cookbook and also a cookbook from her restaurant.

I would love to go to her restaurant. That would be a treat! My granddaughter was there on her senior trip, and I thought maybe she would get to go,but she didn't. Instead, they took her to the Phirana restaurant. I asked her if she ate lizard and she said,"No, Nanny, I ate chicken. But they do serve them."

I love Paula Deen, I watch her show as often as I can, I think she is a down to earth person, even though she is well above most of us in wealth, I imagine she has worked hard to get where she is now. She always has such fun on the show. I can imagine what her house looks like around the holidays, and like you I wish I could afford to decorate like she does. I would love to have a subcription to her magazine, and will look on her site and see if there is a link there. I don't care for Donny and Marie, never like them as kids either, just something about her that I don't like, I know those kids had a rough life, just wasn't my cup of tea, you know some like and some don't in all things. Paula is a great person though.

i love paula deen. she is so full of life & so funny.i hope she is that way in real life.it's a shame you have never seen her on tv. she is a hoot. she was on oprah's once & was cooking something & had something in the blender, turned it on & had forgotten to put the lid on it.stuff was going everywhere & her & oprah were so tickled they caouln't even talk. it was hilarioue. i would love to eat at her restaurant, wouldn't u? greetings from tennessee.

I saw her once at my sister-in-law's. I have no idea when she's on DirecTV. My sister-in-law has Dish. She seems so nice, and she's so pretty! I would definitely love to eat at her restaurant. I'd love to talk my husband in going over to Savannah. But that's a long drive from where we live in Alabama.

I love Paula Dean. I watch her occasinally on the food network. I love her southern accent and all of her great southern dishes sh comes up with. A subscription to her magazine is a great idea! I

Well I guess you should sign up for a commission or something! I went online earlier and signed up for it. It looks great!
