Holding a snake overcomes my fears towards them

Just a few a hours ago, I held a snake. It's was so nice. I was not supposed to hold it because I am so afraid of snakes. But I saw a lot of my officemates holding it. They were not afraid of it. They asked me to hold just for a few seconds so I tried. Before we leave the wokstation, I asked my officemate to place the snake in my shoulder. It crawled going to my neck. I held it for almost five minutes. It was really a wonderful experience. My fear towards them was gone already. The snake's name is Forest. It was from Colombia.

Wow!You finally managed to overcome your fear factor.Congrats. What type of snake that you hold? Is it phython? If phython you should'nt be afraid because once it's full it will not become dangerous anymore.If you wish to hold the wild and poisonous snakes like cobra or viper, just forget it. Better avoid it than have to face it.

Thanks! I do not know what type of snake was that. According to the owner it's not the dangerous one. I am not dreaming of holding the wild ones because they are so dangerous. Have a nice day!

Ewwwwwwwwwww *shudder* !!! I could never hold a snake in my hands. They are so slippery and slimy and slithering types with that typical cold feeling and hissing sound OMG I think I would have a heart attack

I am not afraid of snake when there is someone looking after it. But, when it comes to wild ones, I dunno, never encountered one too.
I remember one going to the zoo near my place. I was able to carry that big yellow snake around my shoulder. It was so heavy! It really could wrap you and break your bones! But like what I said it was not scary for I was guided by a zoo keeper. It was a nice experience anyway.

I will not hold the wild ones because they are so dangerous. Even if you will not hurt them, still they will bite because they feel that they are being threatened. I was able to hold a snake because the owner was there assisting me. Have a nice day!
