which monitor is good CRT or LCD?

I have a crt monitor ... i am feeling eye pain when i look in it for more than four hours.... Is LCD monitors good than crt...What about its power consumption and all?

Unless you pay a load of money for a really high-end LCD the picture quality of a decent flatscreen CRT will be far better. Though this is probably only important if you do design work. An LCD monitor will be more energy efficient, and obviously will take up far less desktop space ;)

thanks fo r commenting man... anyway i am using crt monitor a convex screen type. I am thinking of buying a lcd monitor as i am very concerned about the power bills.

Technically LCD is better than CRT. But when i was doing my A+ course my instructor told me that CRT is better. But i can tell you the reasons. I forgot all of them.lol

Lcd monitors consume very less power and it will not effect much on eyes,because i use Lcd monitor daily for more than 12hours continuously.

I'm using a LCD monitor in home as well as in office and i think it is good to use a LCD because it reduce stress over your eyes , extra ordinary clarity, consume less space and power
