Day one Miracle Noodle Diet...

Okay, so I didn't realize today was Halloween. Not a good day to start a diet. But I started anyway, sort of. I got up this morning sat in the family room, turned on my computer to check my messages. I found an outfit to take my "Before" photo in and when I looked up it was time to take my kids to school. There went my coffee and my noodle breakfast. After dropping them off, I proceeded to CVS to pick up last minute Halloween stuff at 50% off. I returned home and immediately started putting up the decorations for the day. At about 10am I had 1/2 Atkins bar (80 calories). At about 11am I ate my apple (90 calories). I finished putting up my decorations. Around 1pm, I had my first glass of water and took my vitamins. At 2pm I prepared my first noodle meal (0 calories). It's very easy, just rinse for a few minutes under hot water add your flavoring and eat. I used chicken bullion, basil, parsley and 1.5oz of sliced mushrooms (15 calories). It wasn't bad, I haven't mastered preparation yet so I'm sure I will get better with time. I can't complain, they were very edible considering they are zero calories. I had my second glass of water with lunch. Now the cheating came when I had to put the candy in the candy dish. I have had 8 pieces of candy today (bite size, not full servings). I would say that this indulgence cost me 440 calories! I had my 3rd glass of water with Hoodia at around 4pm. Dinner consisted of a Lemon Pepper chicken breast (200 calories) and Miracle noodles (0 calories) with garlic pepper seasoning and a tablespoon of butter (100 calories). I also had my 4th glass of water. It's 8pm and I haven't gotten to my last glass of water and my evening Hoodia gum or Acai Berry pill, but the calorie intake part of my day has ended. So in total I consumed 925 calories today (even with cheating!) Today I weigh 240lbs. My chest is 45in, waist 46in, hips 55 3/4in. I will upload a picture tomorrow. My hubby has to take it for me and right now he's chaperoning a Halloween party that my younger son is attending.

Where did you get the Miracle Noodles? And where did you hear of this diet? I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted on your progress. I am too trying to lose weight. And am not having much success. I am up to try anything. I am a noodle fanatic! Last summer when I was working 3-11 shift, I ate easymac every day at work for 3 months!

You can get the noodles at www.miraclenoodle.com. They have many variations of the noodles and a list of recipes. The diet is something I made up. I wanted to use the noodles to replace 2 meals and then supplement the last meal of the day. Since they are carb free I figured I'd stick to a low carb diet since I'm already half way there with the noodles. I Take the Omega 3, magnesium, glucosamine and a multivitamin. I use Hoodia drops, Hoodia gum and a light snack to get me through to the next meal and Acai Berry before bed to rid my body of toxins. Good Luck! I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.

Hi marian, Could you explain this diet to me? Or is there a web site to find it? I want to congratulate you on the beginning of what we all know is one of the most difficult challenges we face in life. I myself am trying to decide how to go about losing necessary weight. I have a spinal problem that prevents me from any kind of exercise and walking more than a few feet at a time. My thyroid is also out of wack again and I am struggling with other medical problems. But there has to be a way of getting my weight under control so I am looking for an answer. Good luck Marian, maybe we will both be successful. leenie

You can find the noodles at www.miraclenoodle.com. I am flying off the cuff with the actual diet plan. I developed it myself based on what I wanted to eat everyday. I would talk to your doctor about how many calories you cut from your diet since you have pre existing medical conditions. I wouldn't want you to have an undesirable reaction to your medication (if you're taking any) nor would I want to aggravate your condition with my unorthodox diet. I have epilepsy so I'm suppose to limit my carb/sugar intake to keep it under control without medication. I've been off medication for 2 years. The low carb diet served me well when I first started but when I didn't stick to it, I gained more weight than I lost. I started it up again because I didn't want to go back on medication but I was missing my noodles and I also got bored. I lost 18 pounds with the Dr. Atkins plan within the last 80 days. I came across the miracle noodles while surfing and decided to try them. It will also allow me to ween myself from my hubby's strict Atkins menu. He's still doing the 14 day plan, 80 days later and he gets on me when I try to move on to the 2nd phase of the plan. I'm tired of the 14 day induction so these noodles will give me an excuse to tell him I'm moving on to a new diet. Good luck with your weight loss. Let me know if you get the noodles.

I have been telling everyone who has type 2 diabetes or the ones who just wanted to lose weight about these Miracle Noodles. To be able to control the blood sugar diabetics have to watch their carbs very closely. If you can continue on this diet I'm sure it will work If you need some low-carb recipes I have a blog that has some you can try. It even has a recipe for fudge candy on it.... You don't have to do without to lose weight you just have to know what you can or should be eating to get the most nutrients for our bodies without all those carbs. My blog is at http://squidoo.com/low_carb_recipes. Best of luck, Kowgirl

Thanks, that's great. I'm going to look on your site for recipes. My family has a history of diabetes, so I need to also be conscious of the that. I finally got my mom to go the Atkins diet because she was so out of control with her sugar. She started last week. I know she won't try the miracle noodle thing, at least not right now. Maybe after I get great results she'll add them to her diet.

If you lost actual fat you didn't gain it all back with the candy. If you lost water weight, well that's okay if you gain it back from eating candy, better water weight from chocolate than from being bloated in preparation for our monthly visiter!...Sorry, guys....girl thing! I'll keep everyone posted. I will be posting my before picture tonight so everyone can follow me through to the end.
