buying online and buying over the counter is just the same. online sellers can offer you a very cheap price, but will require you to pay for expensive shipping fee.

I think if you go ot a shop and buy it is much better.You will get a warranty card.Also if something gets wrong immediately with the pen drive you can take it back to the shop.Also the rate of the pen drive is cheaper in shop than buying online.

When I buy personal products or electronics. I use the internet to compare them, reading other people reviews who used the item before. I always end up finding better products or ignoring the whole idea :) After I make my decision on which one I should buy, I will buy it from Local store (if I can) or online (if I can't find locally) Good Luck

Why not try to buy a second hand drive, it will be cheaper than any available online, and really work well. The only you have to do is to check it before you make decision.
