I think it would be harder to eat with chopsticks too. The chopsticks are so long, and the rice is so tiny to pick it up.. I will have to make sure that I have an heap of rice holding on to my chopsticks..

I have, I love to eat anything Chinese with chopsticks, it does take a while to learn how to use them but once you've mastered the art of it young grasshopper you'll never forget it. Even my little ones are learning how to eat with them. Sometimes they get frustrated and just jab the stick into what they are eating but most of the time they give it a go and then resort to a fork when they get too hungry.

i have never done too in my life and i dont think i can handle it. I remember my parents in law when they are in the vacation and the home owner that they are living for, invited them to have a dinner in the Chinese restaurant, they immediately refuse to attend the invitation for they think that they will use a chopsticks in the restaurant. After the dinner the home owner told them what was happening to the said dinner because the the home owner are don't know who to use the chopsticks then my parents in law are laughing and told the reason why they didn't join them to the restaurant.

Yes, I would feel kind of ashamed if I did not know how to use chops sticks either. I would not attend the diner either. Or I would make up some excuse, about why I was unable to come.

Yes, I have. But strangely, after a while of using forks, I lost my ability to wield the chopstick well, and I pretty much stuck to the fork after that.

I have given it a shot. I had more noodles land in my lap than in my mouth. I gave up. And quickly went back to a fork. When you are hungry, you are hungry.

Yes, I know... I would have done the same thing. I would not be able to grasp the chopstick fully. I know that my noodles will be slipping away too. This will make an person hungry, to try and eat with the chopsticks.. If, I am really hungry, I could not do this. I will end up getting impatient, and I would have to take out my fork..

I have and have been doing it for a while. It's not always easy, but it gets easier the more I do it. To me, I think that noddles should be eaten with chopsticks, though I do understand that some can't hold chopsticks. I know I couldn't for the longest time. Even my little sister could use chopsticks before me.

Yes, I have eaten noodles and many things with chop sticks. Everytime I go to each chinese I use chop sticks. I also have a few sets at home for use here. I love them and have no trouble eating with them. I have even gotten my grandchildren using them everytime we go to a chinese restuarant.

Hi cream97, Yes I have tried and it took me a long to to learn but I got the hang of it in the end, but you can take all night eating with the chopsticks as its difficult to pick a lot of food with your chopsticks. Yes its fun. Tamara

yes i have. whenever i feel using chopsticks when eating noodles i would do so. i'm really not that good in using it but it's fun & not bad learning at it. i managed to learn using it all by myself.. at times watching tv & some chinese friends who showed me how to use & hold it correctly. i'm a lefty so i find it more difficult to learn. i have tried eating noodles using chopsticks, jap & chinese food usually & although it's hard, i have tried eating rice using it. those who are really good using it can even consume the soup in the noodles without sipping it from the bowl! & that's so cool! i have a tip i learned form tv to help you learn using it, try to put an elastic rubber band on top of the chopsticks & when it's tight go ahead & slip a small folded paper in between the 2 stick for them to separate. in this way you could practive using it. believe me this works, i also do this at home.. except at restaurants. hehe )
