How often do you use coupons when eating out?

Today is Nov 1. And we have an entertainment book full of coupons that expire today. We are looking for a good one to use. It is a good way to save a few bucks. Do you have an entertainment book? Do you use coupons to eat at restaurants?

Oh, we get those. We usually save more than we spent on the book. It can be nice. It also helps give you ideas of places to go and try. A change of pace.

This made me wonder - I haven't tried it, but I'll ask - If you use a BOGO coupon and you are the only one there - can you use it and eat one meal and ask for the other in a doggy bag or just eat part of each and then ask for doggie bag? Would the resturant allow that?

I don't often use the coupons. I have the food discount cards for some restaurants. I love China

I do! As a matter of fact, I just got the new entertainment book a couple of weeks ago. I went through and pulled out coupons for my parents' favorite restaurants, mom has them in her purse now, should they ever stop in for a bite. I also keep a couple in my wallet for places I frequent. There's a place I don't eat at but many of my co-workers do, so I'm going to hang up those coupons in the break room so at least they'll get used. My main reason for getting the entertainment book, to be honest, was for the $80 worth of coupons for the store I grocery shop at. The rest is just gravy. There's a coupon for The Melting Pot in there that I want to use though, and I hope to use the coupon for Mideval Times, too.

If I don't have a coupon, I don't eat out - - unless they have a dollar value menu! I watch my junk mail and join sites on the internet to get free coupons, - just had 2 BOGO from Marie Callendar's in my junk mail. I do see alot of resturant are reducing their prices - TGI Fridays has a good lookin deal for $5.99 - never been there but for what they are talking about - that'd be okay without a coupon, but other than that range, it is coupon time. The entertainment books you are talking about - no kids anymore, I don't use the majority of them. Just using the fast food ones pays for the book and then some, but unless you have several in your family, they are really not worth it. I used to get them and some years even get 2 cause with a family of four - the BOGO's were the only way I could afford to take the kids anywhere.

I have an entertainment book. I did not use it nearly as much as I had hoped to, but I did manage to get my moneys worth out of it. My sister gave me the 2009 book last week. I am going to try to use more this year.

My niece gave Rick and I an entertainment book when we got married. We used a lot of the coupons, and she definatly got her money's worth on it. But we have never bought one again. Many of the restaurants we us send out coupons regularly through the mail, or in the newspaper. So we just go that way. It does save money and gets us out for a nice meal now and again.
