I think that the idea of nobody needing a visa to travel to any country would be fantastic. Visas can be expensive and the system is not fair because some nationalities can visa some countries visa free whilst other nationalities have to get pricey visas. I have got a British Passport and so I am fairly lucky that many countries do not require me to have a visa. In the past I got a working visa for Finland, a tourist visa for Hungary, a working holiday visa for Australia, a tourist visa for Jordan and a working holiday visa for New Zealand. I have had visa waivers when I have been to the USA. This summer I got a flight to Riga, capital of Latvia. I really wanted to go to Russia but couldn't because I didn't have a visa. I did look into getting a visa but I don't live near the embassy and visa agents charge ever such a lot. I needed a visa for me and a visa for my toddler son. The cost would have been a two to three hundred pounds. When I got my tourist visa for Jordan I noted it was the third most expensive and Americans were the most expensive.

Yes wouldn't that be great - we can go to anycountry without any restrictions - the only factor would be finding the money to travel! But I guess the rise in terrorism and other issues has resulted n more countries imposing visa restrictions on travellers.
