wow, it's great that your family as a game night.. i actually hope we can have a regular one for our family, too.. when we get together, we usually play scrabble..
i was wondering, what is 'trouble and life' game? perhaps you can start a discussion post on that.. :)

Trouble is a board game where you try to move your 4 pieces all the way around the board without someone landing on your piece and sending you back to the start. My kids love to send my pieces back. Life is similar but a little more complex as you have to make decisions based on life situations.

We used to have family game night every weekend, but when I had my little one 2 years ago that kind of went out of the window. He will not let us play any games and when he goes to bed I go with him because I am wore out from chasing him all day.

We have board game night every other Friday in our house. Then we have card game night every other Friday.
We play monopoly, scrabble, trivia,aggravation, checkers and Life on board game night and on card game night we play ruumy, spades, uno, euchre, and rook.
We usually start around 6:00pm and just depends on how much we get into it as to how long it lasts! LOL

I know what you mean by not knowing how long it will last. Sometimes we really get involved and always have fun.
