I don't understand why do many people are concoerned about smokers? We know the risks and what it can cause. It is our chouce wether or not we want to smoke and as long as we know what the risks are I don't see why people are continously harping at us to stop. It's our own free will... I just dont understnad

Well I guess maybe because you could also harm us non smokers in some ways too. It has been studied that non smokers that inhales second hand smoke fro smokers that are three times at risk with lung cancer. Maybe that is why we are asking you smokers to quit. But I guess you are a a smoker at heart already so there's no way stopping you from doing it. I would just advice that when you smoke do it responsibly and avoid doing it when you see there are those that prefer not to smoke.

I get aggrivated becuase people want to punish the whole group of us becuase some of "us" smokers don't care. I don't smoke around kids or in restaurants near people that choose not to smoke. I smoke outside my home so that my son doesn't have to breath it in and I don't smoke in my car. I am getting frustrated because it is my right to smoke if I so choose to. Just like it is your right not to smoke so what makes you right in your decision and me wrong becuase I am a smoker?

I am not a smoker. I have bad allergies and my husband has asthma. What upsets me is when people take offence when we say that our home and cars are smoke free. We do not allow people to smoke around us. I actually had someone refuse an invitation to dinner and a movie at my home because she would have to go outside to smoke. Ok well. I guess life sucks some times.

That's a totally different story I am talking about people that don't think that we should have a choice to smoke. It is my decision and I smoke outside of my home my son has ashtma and so do I. But the point is that people shouldn't think that we as smokers shouldn't have the right. It's like free speech I mean you may find that smoking offends you and you dont want it done around you but I may feel that way about something you said. So its basically a right that I have as an american to smoke if I want to. I dont go out and smoke around people that dont want to be smoked around I smoke in my designated places and whatever precautions that need to be taken but i dont take kindly to people tryin to say that even that is not good enough. its like someone saying you like the color purpler and I like blue so we're going to seperate the world into two different halves.

I for one feel exactly the same. And the biggest cliche of all is that people not wanting to deal with 2nd hand smokes. I understand if you decide not to smoke & don't want to deal with it, that's fine, too! My complaint is that the first men to walk on the moon were Armstrong & Aldrin, on July 20th, 1969. You know what that means? They put men on the moon almost 40 years ago & they haven't come up with good enough air-circulating or air filtration to put a "air vent" or "vent hood" in restaurants & bars? Hospitals have been sterlizing & cleaning airs within the 1,000's & 10's of thousands of square feet of inclosed (hospital) buildings for decades & they can't handle 20 people smoking in a 20 X 20 corner of the restaurant? They rather have 15 of their employees hurdled out side of their business smoking up a storm than providing them with 15 x 15 smoking room with decent air filtration system. But then again, it's all about not having to spend money if they don't have to. They rather kick smokers out the door to hurdle around each other when it's 20 degrees outside. You know, may be we should get together & try to ban crying babies from restaurants & air planes & movie theaters, too. It disturbs others from enjoying themselves. Sometimes businesses are conducted in the restaurant. They shouldn't be interupted by crying babies. Oh, wait, if they didn't like it, they could walk out....!!! I forgot about that part...!!!

I am so aggrivated with this. I don't think I should be this upset about it. But we have every right in this world to smoke if we want to that is one of our (or my) rights as an american citizens. Hell in Amsterdam you can smoke and carry pot on you at all times. So atleast we arent out getting people high on second hand smoke lmao. No for real I think that its an infringement of my rights. Who says that non smokers should be right in everything we as smokers have rights too.

I agree with you %100!!!! It is crazy... They are trying to take away peoples freedom. They should be focusing on people who do much worse things, Like smoke pot, sale pot, drinking- all of these things will kill you too in the long run!
