Hi, my blood pressure is normal but my husband's is little higher. His is approximately 130/90. Cut sodium and increase the intake of calcium. The sodium content in processed food is high. Foods rich in calcium are milk, sea food, brazil nut, pumpkin seeds, soy beans, cabbage and so on. In order for the body to absorb calcium you need vitamin D. So go for milk and fortified orange juice that contain calcium and vitamin. Blood pressure drops a little if we take good rest. My husband gets few extra hours of sleep during the week end and so his blood pressure comes down a bit. As well during week's off he does not have the work pressure to keep his blood pressure elevated. As well, blood pressure is also influenced by heriditary. If your weight is normal, your eating habbit is healthy, you excercise regulary and still if your blood pressure is high it may be due to heriditary for which the control is not in our hands. My husband falls into this category. But still I keep fighting to keep his blood pressure under control. Follow healthy diet, excercise, rest and peace of mind and see if your blood pressure goes down.

That's bad.. Exercises will be good, but those light workouts, or slow jogs will do just fine ^_^ IN order to bring your blood pressure back to normal, diet is very important as well as rest ^_^ For diet wise, cut down on salt and sweet stuffs, because sweet stuffs will make your energy level higher, and thus it affects your blood pressure.. As for rest, i think u are not getting the amount of rest that u need fro the amount of hrs that u put in for 'work'.. Thus, your blood pressure is slowly rising.. Try to have more well deserved rest and after that u will find yuorself much fresher, and your blood pressure will drop too ^_^

You should avoid things with high sodium. Canned foods are some of the worst culprits.
