I'm back... at least from a trip! :)

We just got back from a nice vacation, where we got to visit with our friends and attend the wedding of two of our friends. This was back in the area where my fiance and I both lived for about 9 years before moving to Seattle together. The day of the wedding was a VERY long day, but it was nice to be there for the wedding, and the rest of the trip was nice and relaxing. Nonetheless, I'm so happy to be back home now. It's raining and gray for the foreseeable future, but it really does feel like home now. If you've moved away from one "home" to another, do you feel like when you go "back home" it's not really your home any more? If you've never moved, do you like getting home after a vacation?

oh..you want to hear a winner of a going home, not the same story? i moved from the northeast to arizona, and after a few years decided to come back. to make a long story short,my town was one of the locations for the movie "amistad". i get back into town.. the streets are dirt, they've covered up all the modern areas to look more colonial.. there were old buildings that weren't there before.. i was freaking out. my bro casually goes "don't trip.they're filming this week" nice of him to warn me after the fact.i was thinking i fell into a time hole or something

Oh wow, that's a GREAT story! That would definitely be pretty trippy, and so nice of your brother to NOT mention it in advance. :)

You know, I still think of Michigan as home even though I haven't lived there since 1991. Carbondale has never really felt like home. However, after a vacation I do love to get back to my routine. Even ahving unobtrusive houseguests (you guys were great!) makes me antsy for things to get "back to normal". And man did I need to rest last night...my weekends are NEVER that crazy. Glad you guys got home safe, even if it is grey...

Yeah, I know that a big part of the reason I was all gung ho about packing on Sunday night was that I was ready to be home and have things back to normal. We got into the apartment, I turned on the computer and unpacked REALLY fast, and the boy was watching RAW by the time I was seriously looking at my internet stuffs. :) Totally back to normal, aside from the lack of food in the apartment. :)

Well, just over a month ago I had the pleasure of going to my Goddaughters Wedding, and even though it was very nice, and great to see her, it was sure nice to get back home. I used to live in that area, and have become too used to the Big city of Seattle area as well. When you go to somewhere you used to live all of the people have changed, and it does not seem like home anymore for sure.
