Have you ever gotten a violation or a discussion removed?

They don't really email us when this happens, it just disappears, right? Well, I haven't really noticed this happen to me yet. I don't think that a lot of discussions get removed even if they do violate the guidelines, because there are so many "I reached 500 responses" discussions that violate the guidelines.

I've had one deleted so far. I didn't even notice it because it didn't even dawn on me that my topic about deciding whether to get Indian, Mexican or Thai food is offensive or against the rules. A myLot friend let me know as she wanted to respond to it but could no longer access it. Yes, you are right, some posts that are blatanly against the rules of myLot are still there. I didn't really care. I moved on. I still had a good Thai meal that night.

When it comes to food, I am in no way racist, Sheepie. I welcome them with both hands, my mouth and my tummy.

I have had a few of my discussions removed from Mylot. It was not my fault though. Someone else spammed my discussion.

Same here. :( That has also happened to me. :( There is nothing you can do about it except hope that those users don't keep following you from Discussion to Discussion purposely making posts that violate mLot guidelines in order to get your entire Discussion deleted. :( Luckily that type of thing has not happened to me yet! :)

I've gotten discussions removed when some greedy, uncaring person posted their referral links. They figure, I guess, that if 20 people will see it and sign up before it's deleted, they'll be ahead and to hell with everyone else that's earning money from that discussion, never mind that it might be an interesting subject that people enjoy! I do wish that they could find some way to automatically delete referral links.

I wonder about that sometimes too. I think that maybe they can't catch everything and are relying on the rest of us to report such things. I'm not sure. I don't think that any of my responses or discussions have ever disappeared except that I know that my star rating went down once. I'm not sure what happened there either. Hmmmmmmmmm.......................
