ADSL or CABLE?

What's your preference? I enjoy ADSL but I like Cable too. I prefer ADSL because there is much less network traffic (noise) than there is on a Cable connection. I find that sometime the cable connection is faster than the ADSL at times however. What are your views and why?

I have a friend who is now living in Germany. We don't really are personal friends. We just got into an Online game. But He saids, whoa.. We have cable connection here and it's totally awesome. He got 56Mbps bandwidth and so he got no problems with it. Any here lives in Europe? I would like to here more about cable connection testimonies. thanks

Hm. Interesting. So do you have an adsl connection where you are? Thank you for your comment. I find that my Moms cable connection down the street is faster than my ADSL. Cheers.

True. The network noise from the traffic is what I dislike about cable.

yeah. Cable is faster than ADSL.. but the problem is the traffic and stability. I'm currently living here in Cebu, Philippines.

Hello, I live in Philippines and majority here are using ADSL including me. Many ISP here offers only with ADSL and few only with cable connection. I think the best is to choose with only few connection. for example if your place is crowded with Cable connection and many have lots of troubles. why not switch to a less traffic network which is ADSL. It would be better to have stable connection with less bandwidth than lagging connection with large bandwidth. In my case, ADSL troubles here are increasing. It would be better if I switch into a cable connection. I suppose that's it. more power.

The way ADSL was promoted when it came out to replace cable... Was that with cable... your whole street is on the same cable... and if you are all connected at the same time... it will actually slow your speed down. But with ADSL... you are using your very own phone line... and you are not sharing it with anyone... so there is no interference.

Hi and thank you for your response. Yes, it was cable that I found faster than the ADSL at times but I completely understand what you have described however.

I use the ADSL broadband connection..... I think this is very fast than the cable....... so I use the ADSL connection for my web usage......

I had ADSL once and I had a package of 2mbps it was the same price as the cable's but ADSL the one I had had less downloading limit instead of 2mbps I was always receiving less then 1! can you believe that? it was awful then I went on cable and it was wonderful the speed is much faster and they give me a few kb less then my 4mbps package cause I reveive 3900 something and sometimes speeds go up more then 4mbps haha XD but the internet runs smooth at all times and I even have telephony and tv on it XD
