Well, Mr. Obama did it! We elected a community organizer. We elected a black man. We elected a smart man. Many people voted for the first time, including my stepdad and the immigrant paratransit driver. It was a beautiful thing! What do you all think?

My congratulations to the first bi-racial president of the United States. And yeah! The filibuster proof is NOT going to happen.

I sincerely believe that this country needs a change and that Barack Obama will be the driving force behind the kind of change that is going to be good for us. I, for one, am very happy. And very hopeful that I will never have to hear Sarah Palin's voice again in my life.

He won and he has his Democratic Congress. Now what needs to be seen is how he will bring us together and what changes he will make. Will he be the far left radical some fear or will he be the moderate centrist that he showed us during the cam panging? I am going to give him a chance to show us what he can do for this country. As happens many times when a person is promoted to the top position they realize that they can no longer think in terms of what is best for the group I represent to what is best for everyone. Tonight my prayers go out to him and pray that God grant him the wisdom to govern in the interest all Americans.

Hear! Hear! We all need to give Obama a chance to prove himself. I, for one, did not buy into all the hate e-mail I got, along with the mud slinging, character assassination, and negative campaigning that went on. After all, if he does go far left, we have only four years to put up with him. If he proves himself as a moderate, then we may give him another four years. May God bless him and America.

I think it's wonderful. I am so happy that I worked so hard volunteering and getting the word out for President Obama!

I never got the chance to tell you how cool I thought it was that you got out there and volunteered, Zeph. Congrats on the great job that the campaign you were a part of did!

Thanks. Last night I got an email that Obama volunteers knocked on million doors in Ohio over the weekend.

Wow! That's a lot of work. I saw something on the news about how we haven't seen this much interest in volunteering for decades. I was disappointed to see on cnn.com that my county went to McCain but not by much. Obama took the state of Florida overall so that's what matters anyway.
