I was not able to sleep...

Last night I was not able to sleep well.Well,this past days it seems that I can't sleep well especially when it's too early for me to sleep,I used to sleep at around 12 midnight or pass so if ever I will sleep early that time I really can't sleep well.I guess my body clock is already patterned on the time I used to sleep thus I can't sleep early.In that case I would drink milk in order for me to sleep early. What do you usually do if you can't sleep well at night? Happy mylotting

heheI am lucky I don't have this difficulty,if you can't sleep you will feel bad,I usually fall sleep at eleven o'clock in the night,and I often have a good sleep,but if there is some thing I don't resolve,I may can't fall sleep,and I think and think,but finging I still can't deal with,then I am tierd,so I sleep.

sleepless isn't frequent to me.but when i thougt a lot about happened in the daytime,i would have been thinking of it.eventually i doubted myself.was there something wrong with my spirits?did i suffer from unnamed ill?and sometimes i tried to the way of sheep counting. it took me a long time to fall asleep.the latest time lasted 3 am.oh,my god.the next whole day,i felt sleepy.so before taking a sleep,not thinking too much.

yeah,you make sure you rest your mind from thinking so many things,it can't help...you will not be able to sleep if you keep on thinking something Thank's for the response

Well me just sitting around computer at night would lull me to sleep already after maybe a courple or more hours then I have no problem in sleeping.

my problem is also same. but i never like to go to bed early. till then either i am on phone or net or outside the home. good night.

I also have some trouble sleeping because of my shifting schedule at work. A friend advice me to take melatonin sleeping pills. but i haven't tried it. i guess it's effective because pineal gland do secretes melatonin for us to sleep. but what i usually do is daydream (lol) until i get to sleep. :)

Woah, i get this same problem, i sleep around 10 or 9 pm since i'm having school holidays, i guess the reason i cant sleep is because i'm trying to save money till $50 so i can get a gcoins in a game. Its very frustrating i've been spending like 2hrs everyday finding a good paying sites to do surveys and etc but so far all are scams!

I would just close my eyes and think about nothing. I would lie down and make sure the television is not on. If it is on I know I would never go to sleep because I will listen to it even though my eyes are closed. If I still could not go to sleep, I would make myself tired by counting numbers in my head. I am not fond of counting, and I get bored quickly if I have to count. In this way I will get sleepy and fall asleep.

i typically dont sleep well but lately i have been having a lot of issues with pain in my knees which seems to make me quite tired. i take a low dose sleeping pill to help me sleep during the night but i have to say that i dont wake up feeling very refreshed though.

It's really difficult adjusting your body clock eh?! This is the main reason why health professionals would tell you it's healthier to sleep the same time, every time. What I usually do if I can't sleep is I read. Reading helps me feel drowsy fast, I usually just pick a magazine or a reader's digest, or even a dictionary. Sooner or later I'd feel it's powers working. But this doesn't usually quickly works, there really are times when my mind is a lot active. So, I'd settle for playing several games on my cellphone. A nice game while lying down plus turning off the lights could help too if I want to sleep and can't. Another would be fantasizing or dreaming dream while awake, the sooner I think about it, the sooner I'd want to really sleep. I've also heard of drinking warm milk, counting stars if you can see the sky while lying down on your bed, that is, or doing math! Amazingly, math does make one sleep, they say. But if I can't sleep still regardless what I do, I'd not force myself. I'd rather do Mylot or do something else than to force myself to sleep, it's just a waste of time.

you really have a lot of options to do if you can't sleep. well,milk contains a substance called tryptophan which induces you to sleep so I prefer to drink it. Thank's for sharing dear

I do watch TV everytime I cannot sleep..or sometimes I read magazines or books. But I really sleep normally at night, I'm getting used to sleeping @ 9 and wake up at 3am. We are lighting a tennis court early at dawn to do our regular playing.

You have been used to that sleeping pattern so you really will not be able to change that quickly. You will undergo a period of adjustment if you really want to sleep earlier. I have no problem with my sleep.I've sleeping at 10 pm and wakes up at 6am almost everyday unless there are activities that come in the way.

It was said that milk can help us to sleep well,and coffee make ue up,but they are not helpful to me.If i was not able to sleep,i would do other things,watching tv,play game,and until i was sleepy,the most effective is reading,everytime i can sleep with reading,i don't why,maybe i don't like study.

Well, it is my turn now to not able to sleep. Currently, it is 5 am. And I still cannot sleep even when I tried. Tossed and turned for a good hour. Frustrated, I came here to catch up on my posting. I sure hope all these posting and writing would tire me out so that I can go to sleep. Have to wake up in an hour or two time to get ready for work! Sigh.... I really need the sleep!!!

We're really the same. Me too I cannot sleep right away if I will sleep early in the evening. I have been working overnight for the last several months already, so I think that changes my sleep pattern or habit. Usually, I just watched television and also drink some milk for me to sleep. God speed!

I suggest that you should sleep well every night. Otherwise, why don't you go to the doctor? Because being whatever to sleep is not a sign of good health. So I suggest you to go to Doctor as soon as possible and get this problem solved.

Yeah me to. I've been hitting the sack around 12 for a few months now that when I try to sleep at 10 or 11, I just can't sleep! I don't like drinking milk before bed because then I'd have to brush my teeth again. The computer makes me sleepy though. I think it has something to do with the rays? Or sometimes I just lie on my bed and wait for sleep to come. :)

hello friend,when i couldn't sleep well in the night, i will take some tea and write something online.i always think a man who is not able to sleep well in the night because of a confusion in his mind.so do i.if this happen, i will talk with my best friends online to find out a good idea to solve my problem.thus, i will get a good sleep in the bed.lol happy mylotting.

first i had the habbit of sleeping in the day as i use to make my son sleep and with him i use to get sleep and then i had stopped this habbit but it was difficult for me to avoid this but somehow managed to do this and now i sleep only in the night. but after the long tiring day i feel like sleeping early and i go to bed at 11.00pm and after that also i will not be able to sleep immediately as i go to bed and i just wait for me get sleep may be it takes around one hour to get me sleep and always i had this problem and sometimes it happens i dont get sleep for long may be one or two hours and i just keep thinking about something and i also pray so that i can get some good slepp and early too.
