SOMEBODY Doesn't Want to Leave the White House!

This was actually BREAKING NEWS on MSNBC and will be reported on in more detail in the $:00 hour, but here's what I know so far - Barney the First Dog has bitten a Reuters reporter, John Decker, who required medical attention! http://barkingforbarack.blogspot.com/ Does he not want to go back to Texas with the Bushes? Is he embarrassed to be tied to the Bush Legacy? Or is he simply jealous that there's already more talk of the FUTURE First Puppy who has yet to be chosen than there is about him? At least he's not a pit-bull with or without lipstick...lol! (The reporter is fine. There was some blood, as I understand it, but he'll make a complete recovery and live to try to score an interview with the next furry White House resident.) Annie

That's funny! I wonder if Barney will have to be tested for any diseases he might have contracted from the reporter? Barney really should be more picky about what he sinks his teeth into. ;~D

He's just fed up with the media! Can't say I blame the poor little guy. I heard the reporter got a tetanus shot; maybe they inoculated the wrong one. Annie

I heard they gave the reporter antibotics. What about the poor dog. Who knows what he may have picked up from that reporter. Has anyone rushed him to a vet? At the very least his mouth needs to be rinsed out.

Hey, I'm still pissed that Clinton traded Socks for Buddy. He must have felt the cat impugned his manhood somehow. Bring on the White House kitties!!! Poor Barney, though. He's probably fed up with it all by now. Guess he had to let it out somehow.

As a definite "cat person", I have to agree with you. I love dogs, too, but my cats are very special to me and I could NEVER send them away! Annie

Didn't they give away the cat to a staffer when they left the white house? I heard the poor dog got out and got hit by a car a few years after they left office.

I didn't notice that until I read your response! I can guarantee you I didn't do it. I guess they'd better get over this "scary" crap. Annie

That is so cute, that is something like the last Doctor Dolittle. With one of his daugthers going to the White House to help the president with the dog named (Daisy). She just acted out all the way around. If you have not seen it you have to get the DVD. This is just Barney acting out and not wanting to leave. There is nothing wrong with that either. No telling the things that the dog over heard or saw while in the White House. The reporter could have gotten to close. Or the dog just didn't like the reporter all together. Dogs know who they like and don't like. The reporter was not one of them that is for sure.

I heard that and had a great laugh over it. Poor Barney, remember GMA had that Barney cam? lol And Barney probably wants to know why when he lives with George he is the one eating off the floor.

I think being a dog, he just knows the human race for what it is. As long as he was the First Dog, he was given the royal treatment and now that he is about to relinquish his position, already the limelight has shifted from him to some other ‘person’ whom we do know even know. We can’t even wait for him to retire and show him some respect in memory of good times…hmmphhhhh

I seen this yesterday on the news!! Kind of funny. I bet it hurt though, my grandma had a dog like that when I was growing up and its bites were vicious. Hurt bad. I hated that dog.

Hey annie! Can you blame him? Poor Barney! He may just be mad that there is going to be a new First Dog! Or maybe he doesn't want to go back to Texas with the Bush's! And then can you blame him for that! I think he's just mad that he has to leave and some other doggie will be taking his place. But, it's not like he's the only dog, there are 2 other ones! Gee, he didn't have to bite the reporter! How mean!

I think it has to do with his dislike of moving =P Can you blame the little guy lol? From the white house to Texas i guess the dog gave his opinion on the matter =P Even a dog has a bone to chew with the political structure hehehe... Poor guy (the dog) he probably got annoyed by the reporter getting too close or something i dunno =P
