i wish i can spend more time with my friends---i miss the good old days...now that i'm a working mom of 3, it's kinda hard to even find time for myself....so i guess i only get the chance to see my friends about once a year----sad.

I'm a mom with 3 small kids. What little friends i have, i usually get to hang out with once a month or less often. I moved faster in my life then most of my friends. while they went to college i settled down and started my family. so my single friends tend to think that i can't have a life and my friends with kids all live farther away. we are starting to get to go out a little more though.

I don't know about in a week but I hang out with my friends about 2 - 3 times a month. Before I met my girl friend, it was hard for me because I was a single dad working 2 jobs. But my friends understood when I used to bring my daughter out with me to hang out. My girl friend moved in with me when my daughter turned 2. Every now & then, she tells me to get the h**l out & stay out for at least 3 hours so she can have to house to herself & our daughter, and yes she considers my daughter "ours", for a while. It's a good thing, ha ha ha.

This is a good discussion to start because I believe it is important to have friends, make time to be with friends, and to maintain friendships with these people. I think having friends is just as important as having a job or a family. My close friends are like family to me. I don't care about genetics, my friends were meant to be in my life and I'm glad they are. I try to spend as much time with my friends as possible. I have some friends that I don't get to see as often as I would like to. I do have a husband and we have a two kids, so we do stay pretty busy with raising and supporting our kids. But since I believe keeping friendships is so important, I try to spend at least a little bit of time with my friends when I can. I have a couple friends that I met through work, so I do get to see them more often as others. I've had to go through losing friends, simply because we just lost touch with each other. I don't want that to happen with the people I have now in my life, so I try to make it a point to give them a call once in a while and get together with them. I work a full time job Monday through Friday, so I don't hang out with friends in the evenings during the week since I have to get up early in the mornings. But I typically hang out Friday evenings with a certain friend from my office, sometimes we invite a couple other people to hang out with us too. I haven't been married for any more than a month, but I think it's important to not spend too much time with my friends that way I can still spend quality time with my husband. Even though I don't spend time with my friends during the week and am at home with my husband, I think it's important to still do things with him on the weekend. Anything to do to keep our relationship close and "alive" is important to me.

I see my friends about once a week if not less. Lately, I haven't had the chance to see my friends but they know I want to see them more.

We don't hang out very often because we are all so very busy with work, family life and the such, but we do try to get together as often as we can. We like to have dinner at each others houses and talk about the things that are going on in our lives or other things. Last time I hung out with my best friend she "quizzed" my new boyfriend lol. She wanted to make sure he is good for me.

I know what you mean most people have a busy life and do not get to hangout with their friends very often, especially the way the economy is right now and the fact that the prices of everything are skyrocketing and making it harder to survive everyday, and me and my fiance do not see most of our friends, and that is fine by me because I do not care to see most of them, one of them is a liar and he owes me money and only comes around when he wants or needs something,so he is not a friend, and three others do not have anything to do with us,and we do not ever see them, and I have heard from one on myspace a while back, and I saw one at Wal Mart when me and my fiance were at Wal Mart a while back, and the other does not call anymore which is fine by me,we have two friends that are becoming good friends and we hang out with them ever once in a while since they live five minutes away and we are trying to spend more time with them, and the other friend which is one of my two best friends and is like a brother to me,and we hangout with him whenever he is off since he works third shift maintenance at Wal Mart and he works five days a week and he will come by and spend the night with us on his way home from work when he has the next night off,and when me and my fiance are on a third shift schedule to,which most of the time we are,but we are thinking about getting back on a first shift schedule, because we think we will be able to get more things done since we have a lot to do.

I still go to school and it takes up a lot of my time. However, I hang out with my friends after maybe once or twice a week when I can. I've never really found much time on weekends either, unfortunately. Most recently I ate out with some last thursday. I do prioritize work and school over them most of the time, and I wish I didn't have to, but that's the way life is I guess.
