I enjoy my turkey as well, but deep fried in peanut oil and injected first with Dr. Pepper (odd yes, yummy for sure!) Instead of pumpkin pie, we serve pumpkin mousse cheese cake, and we have also served baked potato soup in lieu of mashed potatoes :-) all are excellent and people enjoy the twist!

How about scalloped corn or a corn casserole? That's traditional here. If I have the time I like to do a seven layer jello - it's light enough to go with the meal and I actually make it hoping it doesn't get eaten and it goes so well with the leftovers.
