Do you like tabbed browsing?

I simply love tabbed browsing. I mostly use Firefox, but you can do tabbed browsing on Internet Explorer too. I keep around 30 tabs open. This means I can quickly respond to around 30 Mylot discussions. I would have loved to keep more tabs open, but if I try doing that, the system slows down. Any idea how this happens? What about you? Do you like tabbed browsing? Cheers and happy mylotting

Hi. I love the concept of tabbed browsing. I know that most of the latest version of almost every browser encapsulate the basics of tabbed browsing but I have always used Firefox and am pretty much satisfied with it. When we open as many as 30 tabs or even more then the number of threads that the kernel of operating system has to keep up to is huge hence slowing down the system.

Even i like tab browsing it helps to multitask your browsing experience effectively and this is what i do when i am at office when i have to surf for some work related information and to chat or browse for my personal use. I normally use Mozilla Firefox for this.

i'm using mozilla firefox & one thing i love about it is tabbed browsing. the good thing about it is that i can be on one page & not havong hassles of opening one window to another & messing up my taskbar. also with this i can surf in one site while waiting for another site to refresh or pull-up. but i do limit my tabs to at least 10. i don't think having 30 tabs is internet friendly as not only will it mess up the connection but also the browser. it slows down the internet as a whole because the browser it getting more cache & cookies from all of the sites we are surfing. that's why it's always good to delete it from time to time or depending on how much we use the internet. keep mylotting!

Hello, i simply ADORE the tabs. I usually open any link in a new page, so i feel much more confortable with tabs than with lot of floating windows on the screen. That's one of the reasons i love firefox. Yes now you can do also with IE, but i don't like that browser so much. I enjoy myself with firefox, and till now i've not found a better browser. happy myLotting

Yes i like tabbed browsing.I don't open many tabs at a time.Maximum i open four tabs.Because you open so many tabs.the system memory and processing is used more.Thats why your computer becomes slow.

you know i never liked tabbed browsing...i always used to like new windows because it made it easy to use tab & alt to switch to another page, but then i got a new computer and it was set to open in new tabs and the more i used it the more i liked it...it was so much easier and you can have more sites open than in new windows

wow, you really do a lot on MyLot. Might I inquire how much you earn from MyLot per day? Excluding the referrals. I'm very interested in the answer, thanks!

I used avant broswer, and i think it is realy good for tabbed browsing exspecially when doing research. But overall performance is not that good. So still using firefox as my default broswer.

I love tabbed browsing. I'll often have some kind of browser game going in one tab, switch to another tab to post on some forums, and then have another tab or four open if I'm reading about something programming-related. I don't know what I would do without Firefox tabs lol.

Tabbed browsing helps a lot but if you would like to increase efficiency try opening multiple windows. Happy mylotting.

Oh, I could not live without it. I am so glad to have it now, I always have at least six up, but if I have too many then it kind of gets hard to keep track and I worry that it will slow me down.

yes,I do love tabbed browsing. And I use firefox, too. But cuz as you said,if many tabs open at one time, the sustem slows down. So,I usually don't open many tabs, like 30 tabs as you.If I can't back to the latest website or it's hard to find it again,I usually open another tab to surfing it.

Tabbed browsing is truly remarkable. It would be extremely painful if a new window had to be opened every time you wanted to search for something new. I usually have anywhere between 3 and 6 tabs open at any given time. It definitely makes the internet more interesting to be on and allows for a greater control of searching and quicker access. 3 cheers for tabbed browsing!

If you have 30 open then your doing a pretty good job, and I wouldn't ask for anymore, but I just discovered the keyboard shortcut to switch tabs, which is CTRL+TAB, and CTRL+Shift+TAB to go back. Without that it used to be so tedious to have to switch tabs.
