I can say that i consider myself a bookworm. There is not a day that i will not pick up my book, even just a few pages a day in cases where i am so busy with no free time. There are many movies that I have seen that are based on books i have read, like The Harry Potter books, John Grisham's, Danielle Steel's Ken Follete's etc..and i am always disapointed with the movies. In my oppinion they left out too many important parts so i will always enjoy a good book over a good movie. What are you views? What do you prefer?

Hi Jmp, I'd feel the same too - the books are of course more complete than the movies. Usually if I have read the book, I wouldn't bother to watch the show. But if I hadn't, then I might watch the movie; and if it is interesting, I'd most probably read the book as well.

I too like reading books rather than wathing movies on them. Although some movies like Harry Potter are really good, but they cannot cover each & every part of the book. Actually, here in India the movies made from books, just finish fast enough for you to understand the story!!!

Same here, I prefer reading the books than it's movie adaptation. Because more often than not, the movies weren't that good and quite not give any justice in it. I mean. mostly, movies that are based in the novels either left out the important scenes, there are scenes you do want to see but didn't show it or how they did it quite not meet your expectation or the actors or actresses weren't the one you imagined for the characters. However, there are still few movies that I think they did a good job in adapting it, nonetheless, I still prefer the books over the movie.

I am kind of a bookworm and when I was a kid I used to like to read mystery stories such as the Clue books, and the Boxcar Children books, because I loved trying to figure out who did it,and then at the end finding out whether or not I was right about who did it,but other than that I was not in to reading and I remember in elementary school we had this reading thing where we had to read books, and I remember instead of reading Mission Impossible my mom let me watch the movie and right about the movie,I have always preferred watching a movie than reading the book because I think it is far more interesting and it takes up less time and I actually have picture instead of reading and having to imagine what the characters look like and stuff, but I do know what you mean a lot of times the movies cut out things to shorten them or to make them more interesting so you do not get to find out everything that you would if you were reading the book, but I am okay with that just like one time I tried to read the first Harry Potter book, but I could not keep my attention on it,so I was much happier to watch the movie, and same goes with the other Harry Potter movies, but that is just my opinion.
