I ever sacrifice my sleep just for study during the exam period. It is really tired, but the next day during exam, I still can concentrate and do well. But after the exam, really feel wanna faint. Will you do so? Have you experience this before?

I rarely do that. What I do when I have exam is I would review at night then I sleep early. I wake up early again then review the lessons. I find it easy to memorize and easy to review if I do it early in the morning when your mind is well-rested.

I agree with this. :) It is better to be well-rested. :) And you can be well-rested if you study well and review your notes. :)

Hi friend, I think it is common that each and every study throughout the night as if we are much interested in that subject.Even i did the same.I used to sleep only 2 hours if the exams is tommorrow. But some of my friends didn't sleep throughout the night. After writing the exam, they slept throughout the day.I used to good marks if i sleep only 2 hours before the exam day hehehe.Till now i don't know what is the trick in it.It is really good days which i finished it one year. Have a nice day

I have experienced that before with no sleep going to final exam and it is very tiring. For me I choose what is the exams that I am taking if that is worth the no-sleep study task then I'll go for it.

I don't say that I sacrifice the sleep ! Because it has become my habit now right from the days of my student life to wake up at nights to study and then to sleep during day time when ever it was possible! This habit has continued and still today I do my important work pertaining to my profession which requires lot of concentration and which is delicate in nature during night time! This has become a routine for me and I compensate my night'ssleep in the afternoon where I sleep for say about 3 to 4 hours or so ! Thus I am compensating my sleep, instead of night I am sleeping during the day time, that's why I can't say that I am sacrificing my sleep! Instead you can say I have rescheuled my natural sleep of night to my day time sleep! When I was a student I used to study throughout the night and used to appear for the exams and having answered the exams nicely I used to take immidiate sleep for 3 to 4 hours after returning home before starting next examination study during the offing night ! Thus then also I used to compensate my sleep tosome extent and I usedto utilise the night time for my studies! I really like night time for either studies or for any important thing as it is peaceful, calm and one can concentrate on the subject without any one's disturbance ! Because of night time study people were always seen me doing some thing not related to studies during ady time and used to feel that I am good for nothing as far as studies were concrned till the time results were not out! After the results they used to feel strange about my performance as they never knew the secret which later on has come into light ! For that matter I am a professional Post Graduated passed my exams in first class in distiction some 23 years back! I know its toolate to brag about it now but then I think I won't get such opportunity to recall my sweet memories again , hense I have taken this opportunity to wander into my sweet past student life ! Thanks ! It was a nice discussion and I enjyed participating in it!

I always do that. Not only for exams, but for anything else that I need to do. I just become hyperactive, more concentrated, work faster without even wanting to. If I don't finish it I will have trouble sleeping anyway, so why not use that time more productively

Yeah I do sacrifice my sleep to study and finish any work for school. Just this year, I've experienced my first all-nighters and really messed up my sleeping schedule, which consisted of a bunch of naps and then work late into the night. I realize its very unhealthy and I'm trying to correct it by doing all my work before feeling sleepy rather than other things. Grades are very important to me, and I do not like to rush before classes. I think if I sleep before I study, I'll concentrate better though. Without it, its harder to focus.

I know it's totally cliche, and all teachers will tell you this, but I honestly try to study 15-20 minutes reviewing all my notes everyday. You might be able to cram before a test or something, but you'll forget it all afterwards, which isn't helpful if the midterm or final is cumulative. If I have to do a huge study session, I focus on things that I didn't quite understand completely. If I can read the text, or listen to a lecture, and still not have questions about a certain thing, I know that I don't have to study it completely. I guess I just remember things better if I actually understand how they work. But bottom line, I'm one of those people that can't sacrifice sleep for study. I'll just be exhausted in the morning and then probably oversleep through the exam!
