In some place of India parents marry their daughter to her maternal uncle i.e. mother's brother or to his son. Do you think this is a healthy practice as the child may have some problems at the time of birth? Should people still follow this practise just to ensure that the child do not have a mixed blood? I find this very unhealthy what about you?????????

QUite bad for the gene pool I'd say. Apart from that it would really bother me that my mother would marry me to whomever she decided. I pretty much want to have a say in the matter. I think I can understand how that practice came to , but in my opinion in one of the old traditions that needs to be reviewed.

I dont know abt the health part. But how can the Uncle even think of marrying his own sister's daughter. He should look at her as his own daughter right. I think its rubbish. What abt u?

No I dont think this is a good practice. Here in the states it is illegal to marry someone related that close. There are more chances for birth defects or mental retardation.
