Do you get hangovers?

When I drink, sometimes I get hangovers and sometimes I don't. Of course, it all depends on how much I drink and, more importantly, WHAT I drink. When I drink rum I usually don't get hangovers, but when I drink too much vodka (which I love!) I get the WORST hangovers that last for so long the next day. Pills don't help my hangovers, nor does water, B vitamins, bananas or any other type of food. Anyone have any good remedies that work to cure their hangovers? I'm jealous because my boyfriend drinks but rarely gets hangovers, and, if he does, he is usually helped by pain relievers. Do you ever drink in excess and wake up feeling like crap the next day? Most of my hangovers are just a bad headache, but sometimes I feel nauseated for a few hours as well. How about you?

It doesn't matter what i drink or how much of it i drink, i have never had a hangover. After this one party where i out drank everyone, people were upset because the next day they were all hungover and i was not. I don't know why i don't get hangovers either.

Well I drink Strongbow Cider if you know it. Now normally I can drink 6, 7 or 8 pints get drink and not have a hangover. Example I was really drunk last saturday and didn have a hangover. But the Week before at Halloween I had about 6 or 7 pints and a sambuka, and although it was nice, I had an iffy stomach the next day. Basically I dont drink spirits as they dont agree with me, especially in the morning.

I have never had a hangover...and I've had run the gamut of drinks, done every known adage about drinking. I had 3 shots of tequila on the same night as 2 jagerbombs..and turned around to have 2 shots of SoCo.....with no consequences in the morning...I've never taken any precautions against it..and I've only thrown up once in my drunken life...but it was due to drinking on an empty stomach...so..I forgive myself...:)

As far as i know, hangover is because of dehydration. If you having more water after the alcahol consumption it is reducing the effect of hang over. I am not there wont the hangover. But the effect will be less. I dont have any scientific prove for this. i am saying from my experince... lol
