My husband and I have a 4 1/2 year old boy and for four years we have gotten back 1500 each year in our tax returns for him. We just had another baby a few months ago and last night i was discussing with my friend how we would get another 1500 next year for this baby too. She told me that they get 3500 each year for their one child and that you are supposed to get 3500 for each child. Is this true? I always thought it was 1500 and we always get our taxes done at H&R Block. I wouldnt think that they would be able to do something like that.

Well, Im being told that it all depends on your income, and how you file. Such as how many people you claim, and if you file single, married, head of household, etc.
