today was fun for me, i got some new pets. i went to the pet shop today to get 2 mice, one male and one female. i got them because soon i am going to be getting a corn snake and i need time to breed them before i get my snake so i will have food. i do not really like feeding them to snakes because there so cute but i know if i want to get a snake it has to eat. does anyone else have mice??

I don't have mice but I'm planning to buy 40 individuals for our Marine Toxicology class.

It must be the same individuals. We are going to inject toxins from marine organisms then we are going to determine their dose tolerance.

I don't know if you have done much reading about keeping snakes as pets, but I would definately not recommend feeding it live mice. Although you might not believe it a mouse can do significant damage to a snake if it decides to fight back, up to and including blinding the snake. Also as corn snakes don't grow to be very big, you will have to feed it baby mice only a couple of days old which means that you will a) have to kill the mice almost as soon as they are born and b) have several sets of mice on the go at the same time to keep your supplies up. I would actually recommend buying frozen baby mice of the right size for feeding your snake.

yes i have done research and i have owned snakes and mice before. i use to have a ball python and a sand boa and the sand boa ate pinkies. the python ate mice and they were always live. but i was always there watching him, it usually didn't take long for him to eat. i don't really like feeding little innocent mouse but i couldn't afford to buy frozen all the time.
